Will anyone—anyone at all—ask Trump about the rape allegations published in an official report by the House Judiciary Democrats? Or will he continue to escape accountability for his violence?

I (somewhat jokingly) swore on Saturday afternoon after 63 miles that I would never walk a step ever again. But I took today off to recover/savor/catch up on life a bit after what we just did, and I am already back on my bullshit on a 10-mile stroll. We should have walked further lol

My ramblings while they're fresh, such as they are! I was able to walk over 20 miles *more* than I ever have before in this annual 24 Hours From Home Challenge, in large part thanks to having Emma by my side this time around! So grateful to get to do this.

I’m more upset than necessary about the Marissa Mayer AI thing. I could literally point at -*any random little girl* and say, I sense that she’s empathetic! Creative! and loves animals! And win the lottery. What kind of person would tell this story out loud??

Emma and I just walked about 63 miles (just shy of 58 miles as the crow flies) in about 23 hours for this year's 24 Hours from Home Challenge! We walked from Edwardsville IL to Ste Genevieve MO starting yesterday afternoon choosing a very efficient nearly straight path down 159. 1/X

We took full advantage of the "you're allowed to take a publicly accessible ferry to cross a river" loophole to get over the Mississippi into Ste Gen, letting the Modoc IL ferry do the walking for that third of a mile or so. :)

I often blog about these annual shenanigans, and share a bunch more photos, and I still hope to when I'm not a shell of a person physically, mentally and emotionally after walking the entire night. But right now I just need shower and sleep. :)

This post popped into my feed today, published by a congregationin the church of my youth, which I left in my twenties. Anyway, I asked the post-er if this was an official church position and why one pastor seems to be posting *as* the congregation, which likely includes political pluralists. 1/X

My responses soon devolved into saying the church is not a non-aging (400yo) vampire, oops, and that this denomination has changed just in the couple decades since I left, so 🤷‍♀️

Don't know where I am going with this, sorry. I left the back and forth feeling like a jerk, but I really think these are valid questions, even asked by a pesky stray/apostate like myself. And ESPECIALLY NOW as we are seeing Christian nationalism literally happening??

The little girl on the blue bike told me this week that last time she couldn't do #bikebus to school because she was still learning to ride. This week, she was ready and wore a huge smile near the front of our pack the whole time! That's what it's all about, isn't it? 🥺

Things continue to feel heavy and joyful and hard and rewarding of late, all at once every day, in my little corner of the world. Lots of gratitude for so many helpers and hard workers and hilarious, sweet kiddos.

Also very grateful for things like working cars and a life-changing hitch rack and beautiful fall days and laughter and kindness. The smiles and patience and friendly waves of so many drivers on recent Earn-A-Bike graduation rides and bike bus days. The Project Clear truck driver this morning..

Pic from this morning (Tuesday) .... we have two more #bikebus rides tomorrow, #STL! Please slow down and share the road with this next generation, fellow local drivers! Their joy and safety and strides should be prioritized every day. Grateful for everyone jumping in to make these safe+successful!

Four pics from today -- scouting out a kids' ride happening later this weekend, learning to use my new mobile air compressor, finally really fall, and Artie overwhelmed at the vet

Loving this episode. Here's another quote, from Cheryl Strayed, that resonated too: "The reason we rock a baby is because that is comforting to a baby. ... That kind of motion that we give ourselves from movement, especially walking, I think, is innately comforting." Agreed.

He apparently passed his nail trim with flying colors but won't make eye contact with me after feeling tricked into entering the Pet Taxi this morning 💅

We're so proud of the 32 #STL kids who've graduated from a six-week-long BWorks program over the past 48 hours, taking home a bike or computer of their very own choosing as their reward. Eight more dedicated students will be finishing our six-week Earn-A-Computer series this evening with us! 💙

"The feds are not our friends on this." Really, STL? How about less posturing and more actual urgency about fixing the major safety issue that was ignored by city officials for nearly two decades. Eighteen years of warnings from the feds. Eighteen.

Bit lonesome and melancholy of late. Nothing is wrong, lots of gratitude, lots of good things, really, and some hard things but with plenty of support. Things just feel heavy. Maybe it's fall. Maybe it's Maybelline. (Trump doesn't help, for sure.) Gotta take it bird by bird (apologies, Anne Lamott).

Vaguely related: On Sunday, an older woman saw me walking on my 10-mile walk and asked if I could accompany her into her adult daughter's home. "I don't know what I'll find! She is not answering her phone!" I was freaked out but of course I went in with her. Her daughter was simply asleep 💙 but 🥺

Tr*mp’s economy is destroying small businesses and small restaurants. All I can ask is support local when you are able, I know it’s difficult now, don’t drive out of the way, but even small purchases or an occasional meal can make a difference on any given day. Seriously.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

May Kushner and all the rest of them never sleep ever again (as I get older, imprecatory wishes for insomnia are my go-to 🤷‍♀️). Not one more restful night.
