Thimbleweed Park is pretty neat. I've seen comments how it's comfortingly nostalgic for many; I'm finding it comforting as well: playing it gives a pause for my brain in the evening, and I look forward to the moment during the day. It's also fun to spot familiar names in the phone book!

This is really good stuff, from porting challenges to ... actually successfully estimating how long development will take ... !??!? and how high tier Kickstarter rewards (to design a character to be included in game) actually inspired other elements in the game. Finished watching those Korean documentaries, I'm so sad they're stuck in Netflix Korea. The 2nd episode is great - a 1h overview of 90s-2000s online game culture in Korea, from MUDs & early MMOs to how PC bangs, casual games & avatar-based chat services radically changed the culture and business.

The chintzy-looking M64 clone console of the N64 by a company named ModRetro has been released, I think, I don't pay attention that closely to shit. But as the great @frankcifaldi.bsky.social posted before, it is our civic duty to push back against this company and shun ANYONE who doesn't.
