been pretty sick and offline this week, very sorry to not be there for my tv critic friends as we all process the glee revival

very special episode of The Diplomat where "the president is going to do 'The Jackal'"

Did aurora borealis also happen to localize entirely within his kitchen

I think this was the best season of Slow Horses so far, and I've liked all of them. The suspense/action stuff looked and felt better than it otherwise has and all the usual Jackson Lamb Flatulence Material was right where you want it to be. Admirably nasty shit all around as always.

@extrahotgreat.com @taraariano.com @cole.fyi There WAS a Squid Jaws. It was called Beast, also written by Peter Benchley and adapted as a made-for-TV movie as The Beast, starring William Peterson. It’s pretty much a 1:1 lift of Jaws, but both the novel and TV movie are pretty bad.

. . . and a game from me!!!

Perpetually annoyed whenever I see an ad that’s just a TikTok. The ad industry used to waste so much money on elaborate, high concept garbage and society was better for it. Let’s get Jonathan Glazer to shoot a Cadbury ad where the devil does sexual chocolate ballet with babes.

LANTERNS ends this weekend, and, while it's got wonderful performances and some fun set-pieces, it remains hard not to see it as one of those fake parody prestige series that the Florricks watched on THE GOOD WIFE. 1/x
