The one feeling I get with Rust compared to C++ is that I really don't have the low level control I want at times. When I know what I'm doing in C++, I know exactly what I'm doing. Though admittedly that's a lot less often than it is with Rust.

I fundamentally believe this to be a very stupid countertake. To trust Rust's safety, you need to trust its compiler to not have mistakes. It is fundamentally putting trust in the people who wrote the compiler to be smarter than you. All these crates are written by the same compiler people.
