I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

i think the games industry should have studios that exist

Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it. Massive fucking bummer.

I personally don't know the ins and outs of the ESRB process, but I find it so interesting how the Avatar Legends fighting game keeps fluctuating between the Everyone 10+ and Teen ratings in its marketing materials. Post-release I wonder how/why it changes? @avatarfighters.bsky.social
