The Steam page of my game is now live! Keep Making is a fantasy room builder fit for the creation of old-timey castles, cozy corners, and trap-filled dungeons. If you're a #TTRPG player or a #cozy gamer, this is for you 🫵 Wishlist the game here 👉 s.team/a/4468940/ #indiedev #gamedev #indiegame

Would you believe our game is built from basically just 1 texture?

This is frigging amazing. Usually, sculpting requires a high poly count (you can then bake the sculpted details onto a low poly version) but this neat tool can potentially sidestep the whole thing. It’s wild it didn’t exist before

Joe@joegamedev.bsky.social

I'm making a #blender add-on that lets you sculpt directly onto low poly models via the manipulation of object space surface normals under the hood

Uh oh, Ryan’s making maps again. Swordtember sent me in a direction and I’m gonna follow it where it takes me. Here’s a medieval coastal whaling settlement.

Expanding the world a little bit. I feel like I've worked on the engine enough, now it's time for content. My next goal is to have a few districts to drive around, a website for pizza delivery jobs and some furniture for the apartment. #escape93 #gamedev #indiedev

Another dungeon room done! Tthis is how it looks in-game. I would decorate the hell out of it but I've gotta get a move on those Steam screenshots. Next up: something wizard-ish 🔮 #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev #ttrpg

Behind-the-scenes look at a new room in progress 👀 With a working save system, I can build, create the bricks I need, build some more, and then swap in the texture at a later time #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev

I've finished my latest comic, a completely stand-alone story withing the HOME universe. In fact, if Marvel has What if? and DC has Elseworlds, then this is my version of that. Marc Michaud's Perhaps This? anyway, I'll post 10 pages per post for a total of 50 pages.

I don't get a lot of traction on BlueSky so I'm not really posting often, lurking is more my thing here Regardless, we always hard at work Dunn. Not much else to expect from my feed other than the latest gamedev adventure.

While messing around, I found a nifty way to seamlessly tile some slabs I drew. I simply scaled up the 3D model (a box, really) and flipped the normals. The texture is slightly larger than the base geometry, so it works. #gamedev #isometric #handdrawn

Little correction, there’s 2 days left! 😉 Go check out our zine if you haven’t already! #ttrpg

Last year, some mountain hikes inspired me and my fiancé Federico to make a #Cairn #TTRPG adventure - he writes, I illustrate. Recently, we've launched our project on #Backerkit as part of #ZineMonth. There are 3 days left, so you can still support us ! Link: www.backerkit.com/c/projects/a...

Fun fact: every time I post something new I update my website a little. It's crazy to think this is how the current (read: of the last 2 years) iteration started 👇 So much has changed! bsky.app/profile/fede...

After 4 years, and a drastic change of career, I've finally updated my website. I kept it small—so small that it displays properly even at a square ratio... too small? 😅 No matter: it's time to build games! #gamedev

And we are live! You can now back our #ZineMonth zine, as well as the many other projects that are part of #Zinetopia! There is something for everybody in there, and if your thing happens to be #Cairn 2E adventures, that'd be us 😄 Back us below 👇 www.backerkit.com/c/projects/a... #TTRPG #ZiMo26

Isometric trickery. The 3D space provides implicit depth sorting, and to prevent edge cases (ha!) I’m growing fond of this projected UV approach: I draw in 2D, skip the unwrapping, and reap all the benefits #gamedev #indiedev

WIP map of the #ttrpg adventure. We’re not sure which view works best, so here’s both: top-down and isometric 😄 The terrain is very organic, but the grid map makes it play like you would expect If you haven’t already, check out the project. We are hoping to join #zinetopia, so every follow counts!

My fiancé and I are making a #ttrpg zine for #ZineMonth. She’s drawing and doing the layout, I’m designing the Cairn adventure 😌 It’s basically a dungeon, except you can see the sky and feel the breeze Follow the project for a free add-on and email updates 👉 www.backerkit.com/call_to_acti...

Alright... a micro tease. This is brand new creation tech coming to the Falconeer Universe. My attempt at making the best ship designer possible for that naval design itch.. #indiedev #gamedev

I’m working on a “year in review” blog post. Because despite my #gamedev goals, I’m *mostly* in the exact same spot an entire year later It’s really cathartic to write down how and why my attempts have fallen short so far. If you’re interested in #indiedev failures (and learnings), soon I’ll share!
