Yeah, this is really bad. It's good that El-Sayed distanced himself from it, but I am in awe at how Cenk's left-wing PAC managed to combine antisemitism with transphobia and pitch it as *supporting* the Democrat in this race.

jta.orgEl-Sayed campaign disavows PAC ad linking US inflation to Israel - Jewish Telegraphic AgencyBacked by Cenk Uygur, the spot drew criticism for invoking antisemitic tropes about U.S. support for "killing Palestinans."

Feeling my depression well up over a specific topic and hoping I can figure something out so it’s not so enflamed in the likely event it comes up with someone

I think the way post text is included here is very sleek! There have been times where I got a reply and wasn’t sure which post was being replied to and panicked a little because the tone becomes VERY different depending, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this changes things!

we're testing a new beta version of the Notifications tab! it has new tabs to help you notice priority notifications, and it uses new grouping logic to reduce noise (e.g. when one person likes a bunch of your posts). disclaimer: it's a beta, not a final version. send us your feedback! :)

Bernie & I want to express our gratitude and thanks to our hosts Krystal & Nathan for the excellent weekend in Fort Lauderdale as we head home to Los Angeles. They’re putting together a documentary about Sonic, SatAM, the games, the fans and creators such as yours truly.

Invoking skippies for our (currently-dormant) Disney watch-thru to see Tangled next, we can re-watch it when it comes around in the watching order

Going to write a fucked up twisted villain redemption story, inspecting what room I have to put a sympathetic angle in for the character and the whole lane’s *wide open* for me

They spoil me - this is basic “spend more than two seconds thinking about the logistics of this character’s existence” stuff

Re-watched the Mother Knows Best sequence from Tangled, why does Mother Gothel do the thing with her hips? What did they mean by that

Felicia
@feliciarondo.com

“Mother Gothel is notably the first CGI main antagonist in a Disney Princess film, as Tangled is the first overall CGI-animated Disney Princess film. Ironically, she also gets to be 2D-animated after her original appearance.” - Trivia item on the Disney Wiki’s page for Mother Gothel

Felicia

“Gothel’s ultimate demise is pretty ironic, since for locking Rapunzel up inside the tower for years just for the healing powers, she herself went outside of it after Pascal trips her with the princess’ long cut hair just as she was rapidly aging to death.”
