So it's been 9 days since I binged #aliceandsteve, I have since binged it again. And honestly this is great tv, it's funny, sad, touching and everyone is great in it, it has so many layers that you didn't realise you were going to get, it's the TV equivalent of an onion.

Because the rest of the story deserves to be told, and everyone please give this show a shot #aliceandsteve is not what you think it is, it's so much better.

But honestly @jemaineclement.bsky.social I am so glad Sophie saw you in People Places Things, because this is exactly the kind of sensitive, emotional performance I love from you. Success of this show depends on the two leads being believable, which they are, and it not being creepy which it is not.

I really hope we get more of you in this kind of role, because I loved it. And thankfully it wasn't as sad as in "the moon is upside down" (which needs a UK blu ray release in case anyone's listening. The last 10 minutes broke me, it was great. And hope we get a season two

Sophie's writing is great, you can tell she rewrote for these actors, they are all just perfect. Nicola is truly unhinged in the best way possible. Yali is great, giving real depth and strength to a character that could have appeared basic. Joel is giving a performance of maturity, that I adored.

Europe is bitching about Russia and Belarus competing while staying silent on the US and Israel. Germany has the nerve to boycott, when they literally support a genocide, hypocrisy is at an all time high. Meanwhile Iran can't even compete because Israel and the US are trying to flatten their country

Bluesky is like what I imagine twitter was like when it started. Twitter is now like a cross between the future in the Terminator when it's run by robots and the Martian red light district in Total Recall.

Everyone should be watching Bob Vylan. This and Kneecap is an awesome double header. Weird how the BBC are okay with this but not Kneecap. They are absolutely as political as Kneecap, but make less headlines. #glastonbury

I don't need to find the words. David Farrier has already said it. I cannot believe we are doing this again, it's only been 22 fucking years. People don't fucking learn.

PBS is free and steaming on PBS website, including access to many past shows. It has been for years. No need for Prime or to support Amazon. If you join your local PBS at $5/month you’ll get PBS Passport, which provides access to stream thousands of PBS dramas, news, cooking, documentaries, etc

I finished it! I loved this book, it was really in depth and informative. One of the strengths was the way it pushed Vietnamese voices to the forefront as well as the rebellious US voices. I look forward to reading his book on The Korean War in the not so distant future. #History #HistoryBooks

I've finished 14 other books since I started this. But this is the year I finish this chonky boy.

I had straight up forgotten how many scenes Cameron's Titanic lifted from A Night to Remember. Basically the last half of Titanic is A Night to Remember with better music and effects and I love it for that.

You are up to date.
