We gave Amazon a $17.5 BILLION tax break last year. Meta got $13.7 BILLION. Citigroup didn't pay a penny—we gave them a tax REFUND. Those tax breaks didn't do anything to create jobs, let alone save them. We have got to stop with the corporate tax giveaways.

The is the federal government telling news stations to provide favorable coverage of the war or their licenses will be pulled. A truly extraordinary moment. We aren't on the verge of a totalitarian takeover. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. Act like it.

I am frankly more concerned about the apathy of the American public and even more importantly the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party. This is not a dress rehearsal. Every single American must speak out against this Facist administration.

Biden: +336K jobs per month. Clinton: +242K. Trump 2: +16K — less than the MONTHLY average of every Democratic president since 1989. The “greatest economy ever” is dead last. The data doesn’t lie. #TrumpsJobsSlump

A few years ago a developer wanted to build low income housing in Newton, our county seat. He faced so much opposition he took his money and went somewhere else. I guess they would rather see people living in homes that need to be torn down.

Dear Americans, I always thought when your government inevitably built concentration camps for you that you would care more. I thought you’d know that even his supporters would be in danger. I thought much too highly of you. Love, God

as a parent I cannot imagine how absolutely fucking heartbreaking and awful it must be to have to put out a statement like this because the federal government killed your son and is telling monstrous lies about him

Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti. "Please get the truth out about our son."

I don't think the problem will be at the polls, it will be what happens to the votes after they are cast. Trump and his stooges have our voter information thanks to Musk.

Just finished reading some of the new Dietary Guidelines the government is coming with. Seems to be more what RFK Jr's preferences are than anything medically or science based. I expect to ighnore them.

I would account the afore named people as more credible than Trump or his goons.

Bluesky is the new place to go for high-level political discussions because half of the pundits, for lack of a better word, have credentials like "Guy who plays in a Portland post-punk band". "Professional video editor in San Diego". "Commodities trader in Nova Scotia". "Person named Sharon"
