This feels weird to say, but I think I’m at the point where I enjoy the NFL more than college football. I have no issue with NIL in concept, but it’s turned into unregulated free agency where you don’t really get to see players develop any more. (My alma mater’s new academic actions don’t help.)

This is going to fall apart. They’re trying to intimidate voters. Trump’s DOJ is accusing states of registering thousands of noncitizens to vote. There’s just one problem. Their own evidence is blowing up in their faces.

We need to report more figures in daily life as percentages of net worth rather than raw numbers. We should also levy fines the same way. A $250 speeding ticket may be fully 2.5% of a poor person's net worth. It would also be equivalent to fining Elon Musk $2.5 billion.

"At Musk's current estimated net worth of $1 trillion — a thousand billion; a million million — dropping $366 million is the equivalent of one of those median-income-earning households spending $32."

Now watching the USWNT v Spain, because even though they’re down there’s at least a decent chance they’ll score unlike my team in the game I just turned off.

No reason not to make a QB change at this point. Season is done. Platoon the young guys and get them some reps, this team might not even make a bowl much less have to worry about the playoff.

Just so I’m clear on the argument, there’s not much Abbott can do about property taxes because that’s a county thing but also Hinojisa and Talarico both voted to raise them somehow.

I’m not sure what it says that when I see a Ken Paxton headshot at the end of a political ad I genuinely can’t tell if the ad was for or against him.

lol I’m watching Arkansas v A&M and it’s literally just alternating James Talarico is a freak/Ken Paxton protects child predator ads each break

Texans need to quit hiring OCs who can call plays and hire an OC who has been calling plays. The lack of offensive development from a team with a defense this good is beyond frustrating.

So much work by my colleagues went into this. (To be clear I did absolutely none of that work, but saying "so much work by my colleagues went into this" is an old trick that makes people think you must have been really helpful. Keep that one in mind for when you need it)

nytimes.comDoes your college football roster cost $8M or $50M? Here's our report on 68 teams (Gift Article)The best teams are, on average, the ones paying players the most, but there's a wide disparity between the schools at the top and the bottom of major conferences.

One of the most terrifying feelings in the world is dozing in the same room as a toddler and suddenly feeling something touch your lips. (Luckily it was just a cheddar bunny.)

I know the Michigan game is old news at this point, but thinking about it this morning I love how we’ve used the game clock we see on screen for every replay check since forever, and suddenly it’s like “nope, actually there’s another one”.

I’m feeling conflicted about how much I look forward to Aggie football vs how much my general dislike of the university continues to gradually increase.

I know that Hallmark movies are inherently bad, but my wife is watching one about a designer at a tech company and I’m currently the “that’s not how any of this works” commercial on repeat.
