I'll one up my last idea. Marriage contracts should have to be renewed every 3 months in the first year. Only after the 1st year of marriage can you enter a marriage contract longer than 1-2 years. The longer you are together, the longer you can make your marriage contract.

Controversial idea: I think marriage should expire every 2-3 years. Marriage should be renewed like it's a driver's license. The vows should be "'til 2 years do us part". This model would give people more flexibility with the whole marriage agreement and reduce expenses in court and divorce fees.
