I don’t think I’ll be buying another new console, not even the switch 2…unless I see a sweet deal for it in ten years. I’ll probably get GTA6 on ps5, but I’m pc and Linux (eventually) from here on out unless something really cool happens in the console space. If only Sega would make a Dreamcast 2 ❤️

Could you imagine? A custom system that’s ps3 generation level but can do that at 60fps. Make it a haven for indie devs. No subs. Games on cd/dvd and maybe even GOG support! Price it at $249 with 1 controller and a sonic game. I think Sega would sell millions!

God if they rereleased the DREAMCAST but with upgraded hardware (to play Naomi games and QOL updated like a cmos battery that doesn’t die, wireless controllers, & Wi-Fi for multiplayer) with a game or 2, & a controller for $199.99 like the launch price. Everyone would lose their minds & Insta-buy.

on Saturn (with the correct adapters from hd retrovision). Those working ones gave a black screen on Saturn. I checked retrotink4k stats page and the resolution was going crazy, like it couldn’t lock on. (Cont)

I’m worried that somehow I bricked 2 component cables as these have transcoders for rgb to component in them. The Saturn works fine with svideo but I know the component cables use more pins. I’ve included a video.

Anyone have ideas why a new #hdretrovision component cable is not working with my Saturn? I just get a black video screen. recapped the Saturn and it works perfectly with cheap svideo cables.

Added a matrixed Dell 1704FPTT (lovely lcd got 23 years ago lol) and a street found Panasonic 10” crt I fixed up. Next up is getting a signal from Retrotink4k sent here & then splitters to be able to record HDMI footage while also sending signals to these two and my LGC3. Exciting!

So the same repair shop I got all those consoles from yesterday, my buddy there said he got this great pc for $90 at a swap and it has $500 in parts, but stopped working. I got it booted and he gave me this original Xbox bag for free! And it has the manual in it! Taking it to the cleaners now.

@retrotink.com so I have a tink4k hooked up to a 4k lgc3. However, I am setting up a 4x3 lcd and a crt on my modding bench for testing etc. Do you have any plans on possibly creating a splitter device that could take the signal from the 4k and then turn it to composite, svideo, or vga? Continued….

Im trying to avoid splitting the signal off from every console creating a huge mess of wires across my apt vs the hdmi cable from the tink output being split, one to my 4k tv and then one to my proposed “matrix-descaler-converter”.

That also makes me curious if a future retrotink4k might offer a second output that analogue so you can send a second signal that’s 240p / 480p / or 480i out, and then we can get our own matrix splitter. @retrorgb.com curious what your 2 cents are! Happy thanksgiving fellas.

This could be super elegant for those of us that want to run a 4k signal alongside 240p 480p, and 480i. I see people run these setups all the time, but there’s always so many matrix switchers etc needed. Continued…

I found this cute 10.5 inch Panasonic outside, filled with a horrible disgusting roach mess. Full soaks in vinegar to neutralize, multiple IPA baths, reflow and repair solder, remask traces, resolder add-in board, adjust color and geometry pots, it works great aside from two buttons and a speaker!
