On a #LegionFX rewatch... I had forgotten how much fun it's having with the medium. It must have been a blast to work on that show. They're trying ALL the ideas, it's super satisfying. Decades of creative R&D in three seasons.

This is what happens when a creatively committed production team gets ~real~ time to develop a project, by the way. The fast turnover in streaming robs us of many such gems #severance

As a #Severance scholar, it's my duty to inform you that at each new twist, you should stop and rewatch it all from the start to enjoy yet another layer of stellar acting from the performers

An alliance; an axis, if you will

Vance refuses to meet the German chancellor Scholz, but meets with the head of the AfD and CDU. Vance claims that German parties need to work with the fascists and claims democracy in Europe is declining, threatened by enemies from within. The international Right is forming, out in the open.

Hard to believe but 18 years ago, I sent the great Alfonso Cuaron an advance copy of The Shock Doctrine and asked if he might be willing to write a blurb. He made a short film instead. This is it. Still chills me. Share with whoever you think it might help. www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7fW...

I appreciate all the people recommending the Shock Doctrine. I've been thinking about what makes Trump's use of these tactics a little different. In recent decades, shock tactics were used mainly to rapidly impose neoliberal economic policies. But what Trump is doing goes way beyond that. a 🧵
