Spread this to everyone. The border wall has been part of the pre-and post-4547 agenda, but this level of destruction is unacceptable and unnecessary. Now if only Tribal Casinos had not flourished while the felon went bankrupt with his....
They knew this 1,000-year-old archaeological site was here. It had been mapped, published, and reported to the agencies responsible for the land. Trump's border-wall contractors bulldozed right through it /1 Link: youtu.be/A4U6q76eqUM

@flintdibble.bsky.social has a video about this up on YouTube. I wasn't able to watch it all, but the first... 40 minutes, I guess? That at least was very good.
The Las Playas Intaglio, a giant fish carved into the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, is now considered the oldest example in the Americas of a geoglyphic, the ancient art form that is carved into or drawn on the ground. nbcnews.to/4j0Wyo9

Strong recommend checking this out, lots of detailed information about the incredible indigenous archaeological heritage being blasted for the border wall in clear violation of principles of tribal sovereignty and with total disregard for the value of these treasures to these people and the world

Hey all, this is a very important video and it's not being seen. The border wall is violating sovereignty for the Tohono O'odham nation and destroying sacred cultural heritage Please share widely and support those advocating on the ground

So this video isn’t just about one damaged site. It’s about Las Playas, Monument Hill, Quitobaquito, the Tohono O’odham Nation and what happens when huge construction projects move faster than archaeology can keep up. Watch here: youtu.be/A4U6q76eqUM

Permafrost is disappearing, causing geological collapse, so structures both on top of, and within the soil, are damaged, too.

Destruction can reveal what is hidden, right before that is also destroyed. And the climate crisis won't just wipe away our past if we don't start taking it serious together.

Climate change is revealing lost archaeology Ancient cities are emerging from reservoirs. Weapons are melting from the ice. Drought is drawing ruins into farmers’ fields But even more sites are disappearing This might be the most important video we’ve made Link: youtu.be/j7zKtiEwFM8

I wrote several years ago about police officer’s verbal orders and how they’re designed to justify violence.
ICE agents give contradictory orders on purpose. “You f*cking move I’ll f*cking tase you! Get out of the f*cking car!” It’s a no win situation. The person being violently accosted in this video is a disabled veteran. Imagine if the agents had been wearing shock gloves? Abolish & prosecute ICE

This is not a crisis of universities but an utter failure of government. If Labour was serious about turning UKHE around they could (by removing the overseas student levy, to start). UKHE is in absolute freefall and is in completely danger of becoming unrecoverable.
For patrons and members, I'm releasing the uncut version of the Milo Rossi interview about Filippo Biondi and the second sphinx. sorry, we did still scramble his update on the Atlantis video. that info is not for me to share. enjoy! Link: www.patreon.com/FlintDibble/...

NEW VIDEO! Milo Rossi joins me for an epic double debunk. Filippo Biondi's claims about a second Sphinx and pyramids megastructures are BS. But when Miniminuteman tried to debunk them, he missed a LOT So I debunked the debunker to his face and exposed Biondi's fraud Link: youtu.be/7RvVbpZJerM

The media consistently ignore that UK higher education and research are in a massive financial (manufactured by several governments) and public trust crisis (manufactured by the same media). What is the resignation of *one* professor against the redundancies of *hundreds* who did their jobs well?!
I don't deny the Arday resignation is important news, but to have it as the top item on the Guardian, Times and Telegraph websites says something about the weight they all give to culture wars over substantive news on politics, the economy, the environment, international conflict etc

I love this thread, and can't resist adding a fuller discussion of the sculptures from Tiberius's grotto at Sperlonga, one of which appears near the end. Large sculptures of scenes from the Trojan Cycle were set up in the shadows of a cave. A dining platform appeared just beyond the cave, but (1/)
Everyone's comparing Nolan's Odyssey to Homer, but I think there's much more richness The ancient Greeks adapted the Odyssey into ART While these images might appear static to us, I want to walk through how an ancient Greek saw art: AS DYNAMIC STORYTELLING like our films 1/13

I wrote about the Trojan horse, and what we can learn from her mouth about different cultural attitudes towards deception and violence. As someone comments below, the phrase GIFT ARTICLE is pretty scary in this context.
