New release of pkg.go.dev/znkr.io/diff (v1.1): 20-40% faster diffs (up to 90% in some cases) and API additions for faster diffs (e.g. textdiff.AppendUnified to reuse output buffers) as well as the fix of a bug in one heuristic that resulted in non-minimal diffs under certain edge conditions.

I used some evenings of my vacation to further optimize github.com/znkr/diff and benchmarked it against other diff implementations. If I didn’t make a mistake with the benchmarks it’s now more than 10x as fast as the Go implementation of diffmatchpatch, which is the most used Go module for diffing.

Almost every project I start needs a diff algorithm at some point, but I never found a Go module that did what I wanted. So I wrote my own: github.com/znkr/diff. If you have any feedback, especially on the API, please let me know.
