When Elon says Ukraine violated terms of service by using Starling to kill people, he is confusing bots at Russian data centers with actual human people. Common mistake for him.

Meat proxy (noun): “A person who forwards AI-generated text, code, or other output without reading, understanding, or validating it. The person acts only as a relay between the AI system and the intended recipient.” [sfisms.org]

Alexis de Toqueville wrote in "Democracy in America" in 1835, that he thought Americans were uniquely “so generous, so kind, so charitably disposed.” This is what makes America truly great, not attacking immigrants or putting golden doodads everywhere.

Confirming Blanche as AG at 4 AM is the GOP way to admit they will need more prison laborers to replace the deportees.

After Hegseth dodged Murkowski'd questions about whether Congress approving a supplemental with money for the Iran war could allow the Trump administration to later argue that lawmakers retroactively authorized the war, maybe it should be explicitly stated in bill that this funding is NOT THAT.

Trump would probably be fine with the Iranians controlling the Straits of Hormuz if they would just rename them the Straits of Trump and paid him a royalty for using his name.

Not easy finding pita in small town Portugal. Wife took a crack at making our own (recipe in "Arrabiya" cookbook) for the first time today. #foodsky #homecooking

Just a reminder to anyone benefitting directly or indirectly from the $55 billion in taxpayer support for agriculture: You are all already socialists, so don't let them scare you with that word.

Reminder that DOJ's 7/7/25 letter claimed, absurdly, "There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions." You should ask WHY DOJ told that lie? 🤔

Bill Gates is the first billionaire to say publicly what many in New York business circles have talked about for years: Epstein blackmailed many of the world’s wealthiest men, he operated like Russian intelligence, gathering kompromat through his network. www.thetimes.com/us/news-toda...

I sincerely beseech you to read this. It is terrifying and important. Repost it, get the word out. Tag media like @npr.org & @nytimes.com @wsj.com and whoever because this is absolutely something that needs to be investigated & reported on ASAP The headline isn't the half of it. READ IT ⬇️⬇️⬇️

thedreydossier.substack.comI found a second vote.gov — and it's registered to the White HouseThere is a moment in every investigation where the thing you have been looking for finds you instead.

None of the definitions hint at "killing" or any other violent acts. Interesting to note that the etymology deemed most likely is that the expression (first noted in 1942) seems to have derived from Cockney rhyming slang for "nix" (“to veto” or “to reject").

Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz! To respond, Trump helpfully (?) says he will redundantly blockade the Straits! Winner: Putin!

Is the recent popularity of zombie stories (Walking Dead, Last of Us, etc.) simply reconnecting us to some cultural memory? Think Osisris or Mithra, both of whom died and came back from the dead. Easter has me thinking.

And it's 1-2-3, what are we fighting for? Don't ask me, I don't give a damn Next stop seems to be Tehran . . . RIP, Country Joe, you were on the right side.

Maybe people should start suing for being labelled by Noem, Bovino, Miller et al as a, "domestic terrorist," for simply speaking the truth.

Today, I got my pilot's license from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency! (Of course, it is just for a drone under 250g, but still . . . .)

Trump is trying to provoke a response so that he can invoke the Insurrection Act. Then it is "game over" for democracy. A difficult situation because doing nothing invites a slide to fascism. So, non-violence and humor (some of the antics used in Portland) will help.

Last night's dinner - homemade chili (NO BEANS!) and cornbread. (NB-I make my own chili paste from dried chilies rather than the powered stuff. Approx. 1 c chili paste to approximate. 4 lbs beef, cut by hand into 3/8 inch cubes) #food

Former NWS officials told the New York Times that the problem appeared to be that NWS had lost the staffers who would communicate with local authorities to warn of dangerous conditions. The NWS published flash flood warnings but safety officials didn’t send out public warnings until hours later.

Can anyone tell me under what legal authority did the US bomb Iran? US was not attacked, no "clear and present danger," and no declaration of war by Congress. WTF?

Hey! Press covering Trump! The statute that lets him impose tariffs at will? It EXPLICITLY excludes movies. He has no authority to do this. Not just bc of an absence of authorization, but bc the law says “you CANNOT do this.” Do NOT say “Trump has imposed movie tariffs,” bc he did not. He CANNOT.
