one of the big things that continues to kill her: unable/unwilling to pick a fight or take a swing at anyone, no matter how justified, popular, or necessary

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

Well that’s three minutes saved out of the next Pokémon Direct

DC’s $1 Clayface reprint book includes the Silver Age debut of Matt Hagen, and a re-telling of that same story by Steve Purcell, Mike Mignola and Kevin Nowlan (!!!!!) where Purcell dabbles in writing Batman & Robin as Sam & Max.

Pretty funny that we have a mixup of Clayfaces in modern media largely because somebody at BTAS thought "Basil Karlo" was too stupid a name, even for comics.

No one here is going to like this, but imagine being a normal New Yorker and seeing a billboard that says "save mass effect" and some alien language.

I do not know how Times Square billboard economies operate, but I have to assume New Yorkers see weirdo nonsense there every day and have it mostly tuned out.

during the 2023 WGA strike. a real one.

Here’s something that would rocket any social media network into the stratosphere: figure out when I have seen a dunk, say, three times, and then mute all further dunks for a day or so.

Feels like they are definitely playing Clayface as Could Be DCU? Could Be Epic Gotham Crime Saga? Why don’t you sort it where you like.

Even just theorizing “they could hire out of work games journalists to curate Steam” is going to fuel the reactionary rageosphere for months.

How about Fortune interviews her?

They went with "The Cosmic Kiss Caper and Other Stories" as the title of the trade collecting all of the recent DC/Marvel crossovers? I'd like to see the A-B testing focus groups on that one.

Why do I suspect that the LEGO x Daft Punk collaboration will not include a $15 set with two minifigures and a little DJ booth.

I'll never get over BGG posts where some guy is asking how to properly randomize a game setup that requires randomized elements. Just do it! Flip over the tokens, shake up the bag, wash shuffle the cards, just do it!

Every time there will be a reply from some other guy who has invented a new branch of mathematics explaining how he assigns choices to a die, consults the entrails of a chicken, and then waits until nightfall for the stars to provide a final answer.

"I have to place nine tokens randomly in six board locations? How??????" my god man just ask whoever feeds you to do it

jfc the last BG&E fan passed away quietly in their sleep five years ago, if you're actually still doing this thing (you're not) just give a new name and win some easy discourse points for being daring enough to introduce a new IP in these turbulent 2030s

Does anybody remember what the US$ online clearance price was for this Pokémon Mini bundle of system/games/merchandise (also included a pillow)? I remember it being incredibly cheap.

I really like Tom King's current Wonder Woman run, but I'm also down for all of this. That Diana/Lois cover is fantastic.

Oh no. You’re telling me the Marvel/Star Wars crossover comic has the premise that Marvel already knows about Star Wars as a movie.

Actually, that could be how they’re factually correct with the “and it’s MaRVeL CaNoN!” nonsense, by having it all be a dopey mass hallucination/dream/fiction world made temporarily real.

Not happy with the DC Comics sliding timeline having reached the point where Year One Dick Grayson references "Shrek."

Evangelicals have always been a complete mess. You could put absolutely anything in the part of the sentence ahead of "when it leads people away from God's truth" and they would strongly agree. Microwave dinners, baby formula, karaoke, the little things that let you play 45 RPM records, anything.

Tommy going after El-Sayed has real “guy off the street who thinks he can defeat Serena Williams at tennis” vibes.

The bit at the end of the clip where Tommy basically admits his whole deal is in service of government-backed Christian supremacism underlines the entire modern conservative movement.

The Ghost of Yotei DLC is good and worth the price, but I would have liked to have bought and started the entire game now, to work that location and missions in chronologically.

Do you think it drives Disney and Universal nuts that there are guys with helicopters that fly around getting behind-the-scenes photos of theme park construction and such.

You know, if that dumbass wants to have his company make Hot Wheels stunt cars because he's obsessed with goofy sci-fi crap, fine. It would be a great way to keep him occupied except that he wants to mass produce them, sell them to other dopes, and put them on actual roads.

If the cybertruck was something you only saw during parades and stunt shows, normal people would actually think they're cool instead of a self-driving road menace that could shear their hand off for getting too close to the trunk.
