To the Republicans complaining about Virginia here is the fix: A Constitutional Amendment that: 1. requiring non-partisan commissions to draw all Congressional Districts 2. Increase the number of seats in Congress so that no one represents more than 200k people. 3. Abolishes the Electoral College.

I am a teacher and the clearest sign that we as a country do not value education is that I started in 2006 making $35k. A teacher starting today at that same school makes $42k. Adjusted for inflation that's $15k less than what I made.

The issue is Trump is very much the pedophile who cried wolf. His unhinged "Truth" is a threat of undeniable proportions. But he's also more full of shit than anyone on Earth. The problem is the people who believe him are for it and most of the rest of us know he's a liar so don't believe him.

The irony is if this was done fairly it would even better for Democrats moving forward so that Red states couldn't fuck with things.

🚨BREAKING: President Donald Trump urged Republicans to seize control of elections and place voting under national authority Monday — one of his most explicit signals yet that he plans to interfere with the workings of democracy. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

This is a sitting member of Congress calling people "libtards" during a televised interview. What fucking planet are we on?

ICE must be abolished. It has become a lawless, rogue agency. Federal law enforcement agencies must follow the law, if they're going to have any credibility enforcing it. We are demanding justice for Renee Good and the prosecution of ICE agent Jonathan Ross for her murder.

This is a great way of explaining what I think goes on with a lot of Trump supporters.

it’s also a long walk back to being humane and for justice for Trump supporters at this point, if you let the newest thing break through you face a wave of shame, easier to just take one more step in the wrong direction

News sources with integrity would relish the opportunity to face this fucking moron in court and would be proud to defend press freedom.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history." BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked. New piece: newrepublic.com/article/2036...

This is the kind of lie that can't possibly be an accident. O'Reilly and most right-wing mouthpieces are so used to just spouting anything they want without push back that objective facts can't actually penetrate his bullshit even when it's right in front of his stupid sexual assaulter face.

If you miss this one in the NYT look for a similar take in the Atlantic and 47 pieces from reactionary centrists over at the Free Press.

The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

It should not need to be said, but South Africa and South America are not the same place.

Trump: "For generations Miami has been a haven for those fleeing communist tyranny in South Africa. I mean, if you take a look at what's going on in parts of South Africa. Look at South Africa, what's going on. Look at South America, what's going on. You know, we have a G20 meeting in South Africa."
