My partner a few months ago... 'I just changed the clock in the car, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner as it was easy to do' This morning our 24 hour clock will be 11 hours slow, instead of 12.

Important information for any pescatarians out there.

I’m sorry, what?! “Salmon are carnivores and eat other fish in the wild, so feeding them chicken is entirely natural,” said an executive at a major salmon-feed producer.” Feeding them humans would be just as “natural” BTW. www.ft.com/content/8f1e...

As a 6 foot 7 chap, I tend to avoid initiating conversations about height. There's plenty of other things I'd prefer to talk about. But thanks for noticing, yes, I'm tall thanks. How are you doing today?

fesshole 🧻@fesshole.bsky.social

As a 6 foot 5 male, I love telling guys who are insecure about their height that I'm only 6 foot then watching them get genuinely angry and telling me that I'm way taller than that. It's hilarious how many guys are so insecure about their height.

The problem here has nothing to do with solar power. The problem is dedicating huge urban areas to car parking. Resulting in urban sprawl, more roads, fewer homes, car dependant suburbs. 'Better' car parks aren't going to solve the problems caused by creating car first towns and cities

It's a point I've been trying to make for a long time: there is no good way to meet even 10% of current demand for animal products. They trash the living world, whichever way you do it. If you want to reduce your impact, switch to a plant-based diet. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Given their aims 'Open Roads' has always been an oxymoron. Their vision of an open road was always more akin to the second picture. Open to, and dominated by cars. Imagine spending you time, and personal fortune campaigning for a car first Oxford!

Both the government and the Court of Appeal now treat protesters as terrorists and terrorists as protesters. It's hard to accept that a "Labour" government is imposing rightwing authoritarianism on the UK, but please read this column to see what's happening.+🧵 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

It's my own fault for looking at Twitter. 'I don't have a problem with trans people, it's trans activists who are the problem' 'I don't have a problem with people of colour, it's civil rights campaigners who are the problem' '...It's the people campaigning for safer and more accessible streets'

This chap wants to know what people do in bad weather. The context is if you often use your bike to commute, or as part of your commute. So, what do you do in bad weather (be nice)?

In case you were wondering, if you are invited to a bbq hosted by a veggie... No, it's not okay if you bring your own meat. If you are such a fussy eater that you must eat meat then sit this one out.

It's not about the flags, Matthew. This is about a small group of thugs who are traveling around the country in their cherry picker, looking for trouble. They live streamed themselves and took delight at being abusive to anyone who engaged with them.

Matthew Barber@matthewbarber.co.uk

Well it’s a bit tricky we don’t have lamp posts. I understand lots of people don’t like seeing the flags and I can have sympathy with that. It just doesn’t make it an offence for the police to deal with.

Niche tip for anyone who commutes from Oxford to London, and uses a Lime bike to get to their office... An Hour Lime pass costs £5 in Oxford, and £7 in London. Buy your pass in Oxford and save a whopping £2 pound on your commute

EXPOSED. Daily Mail editorial line... FURY as short them interests of global capital are at risk! MUST NOT let readers consider that reducing dependence on fossil fuels offers huge personal and social benefits. MUST maintain culture war heuristics so as to avoid rational thoughts of readers.

Well done, and Congratulations to Hannah Spencer and the Green party! I'm planning to celebrate tonight with a bottle of Champagne paired with Tofu 'Fish' and chips. Champagne socialist, Tofu Wokerati and proud 😎

Keeping it local. With the beer from the excellent Church Hanbrewery micro brewery. Brought from their micro bar, the Tear Drop, on a swift after work visit to the Covered Market yesterday. Cheers

This, but not just people from the left. Sure, you are loving, compassionate, and you are concerned about the welfare of other animals, so long as those animals are you pets, or you consider them to be cute.
