flicking thru my faves playlist that i humbly flaunt on youtube and noticing how many tracks have 7ths and 9ths and other spicy chords. oops!? I think not

there's also this recurring theme of dreamy retro-futurism. I bet there's some weird girl who makes music like that so often she founded a circle revolving around it

talking with the guy who composed some of the ringtones i had on my first flip phone in 2009 is crazy it's a bit different from say talking to a famous composer who composed music in childhood games since they're usually credited properly

imagine if you released an obscure album 25 years ago and lost the masters/projects then go on soulseek to track it down.. only for the user to lock the files with strict arbitrary rules on getting access

very mixed feelings about getty images going into bankruptcy it has terrible business practices with how low they pay photographers and copyright trolling, but it's also bleak that many businesses are turning to AI for generic imagery, which is why getty is struggling

it shutting down would also be a huge blow for research and preservation. like in terms of identifying original images used in OS/phone wallpapers or game textures, even if many have already

I find it funny how the first iphone was so cutting edge and then its ringtones were goofy stuff like old car horn, duck or piano riff. and it took apple 6 years to update them in iOS 7 to fit the design

it's crazy being on the most viewed (so far) SGFR album mahjong bangers, which lately hit 100K on youtube. was definitely the right call to push myself to contribute

kinda funny how 90s konami had so many composers yet overall still had a very distinctly konami sound, esp the energetic fusion/rock. i imagine part of it is due to shared sound sources and part due to newcomers doing their best to fit in with the established vibes

things have been really rough lately. but i'm glad i have done things that have made a positive impact or impression on people over the years

I'm dying laughing at how the cat has conformed to her flower shaped bed today

my lecturer was showing off a local AI model and he typed in a "decompile logic pro" prompt. he didn't go ahead with it but that was so bonkers lollll

bad habit of typing "reddit" into the search bar and accidentally typing "ew" at first. i guess my hands are trying to tell me something

it's always so awkward when you're deeply familiar with OSTs of games you've never played and you're talking to people who are actual fans of the games
