Thank you for putting your trust in me, Ward 10. I don’t take this responsibility lightly, and none of us can do this alone.

Last sign delivery before election day. If there’s anything I’ve learned from reaching 12,000 of my neighbours, it’s that you want urgency and action that you can see in your neighbourhoods. I ask that you trust me with your vote, and that you hold me accountable to this vision. Go vote!

As a long-time community organizer, I pride myself on collaborating effectively across groups that don’t typically work together. I’ll be an effective representative for Ward 10, translating city processes into meaningful action. #kitchener #watreg #wrpoli

I agree, the real issue isn't that it is too difficult to renew your license after 80. It's that it is too easy under 80.

Melissa Bowman@dtkmelissa.bsky.social

Two thoughts about this piece: Perhaps it shouldn't be so easy to renew your license in Ontario prior to turning 80, and We really need to design our cities so people don't feel that they have to rely on a car. www.therecord.com/opinion/cont...

My experience as an urban planner taught me how to welcome new neighbours while protecting mature trees, enhancing walkability, and making streets safer. I am a founding member of Waterloo Region ACORN and have successfully advocated for local policies to protect renters from displacement.

"Ripping out these protected bike lanes against the will of Toronto city council is a colossal waste of $48 million. The province’s own experts know it will not ease traffic congestion, it will put people’s lives at risk, and there is no network of side streets that could replace these lanes."

I’m proud to be supported as a labour-friendly candidate by the WR Labour Council! As co-owner of Full Circle Foods, I choose to uphold a certified living wage. As a member of the Better Way Alliance, we commit to fair scheduling practices and paid sick leave.

I’m grateful to have the support of Leena Miller Cressman, owner of The Branches. Seeing how Leena and her team have created a small business rooted in community was an inspiration for Yulia and I as we brought Full Circle Foods into its next chapter on King Street. #Kitchener #WatReg #WRPoli

Lord Cockwomble strikes again, this time taking credit for a security agreement with Greenland/Denmark that is almost as old as he is. Changes to the existing agreement largely put formal wording around things that were implied in the original agreement from 1951. www.cbc.ca/news/world/t...

Getting out of your chair and moving around is the single most beneficial exercise for people of all ages, but especially for older adults. Long periods of sitting can completely negate the positive effects of scheduled exercise, no matter how strenuous!

Global Health Hub@globalhealthhub.bsky.social

Sitting for long periods isn't good for your health. Even small breaks to stand up, stretch, or walk can help reduce sedentary time and support better overall health. 💚 Every movement counts. Moving more is better than moving less. 💬 How many hours do you sit each day? Be honest! 👇🚶 📚 Source:(WHO)

Signs are going up all across Ward 10! Big thanks to the volunteers who are helping me distribute our first 100 signs today 😁 more on the way. A lawn or window sign is a great way to show support. Fun fact, the number of Sam Nabi signs in pollinator gardens is very high, something I love to see 🐝

Imagine, a potential City of Kitchener councilor that leads with action and not rhetoric! I only wish Sam was running in Ward 7. 👍

As co-owner of Full Circle Foods, I work with local farmers and producers, helping neighbours to make local and zero-waste shopping decisions. Together, we’ve saved over 167,000 single use packages from the landfill. We can think global and act local in Kitchener to do our part for the planet.

One of the most successful pedestrian streets in the world, the Strøget in Copenhagen, was filled with cars until a 2 year pedestrianization pilot project in 1962. The opposition argued “no cars means no business,” but the street has been a massive retail success, the city’s busiest shopping street.

Thankyou Lord Cockwomble (aka: DJT)! You have done more to solidify Canadian unity, Canadian pride, and Canadian nationalism than anyone in history. Once you are gone we will again have cordial relations with our American neighbours, but will never again be dependent on them.
