i just cannot get over how much the administration’s response to the crash shows a profound disrespect for the lives of the people they are supposed to serve

On day one Trump's EO said we were harmful to kids. On day two, it said we were dishonorable and disloyal. On day three, it said we were unAmerican. Transgender people have been a part of this country for centuries. We are not going anywhere. Do not comply with these EOs, they are not law.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall. They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+. Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them. I think about it a lot in moments like this.

Everyone should be aware of the line that has been crossed in the Trump trans military EO. No longer is this about "evidence," "science" or "protecting kids." Now, explicitly, black and white, it's about trans people being "liars," "dishonorable," "false." It's a big step towards very bad things.

True but… we are seeing the White House fire anyone even remotely connected to “diversity.” It’s meant specifically to be applied as broadly as possible while giving the WH plausible deniability.

The White House didn't say "stop teaching about the Tuskegee Airmen when you do US history." The White House said "stop doing DEI and wokeness," and the military interpreted it as "stop saying the Tuskegee Airmen were heroes, and maybe stop teaching about them altogether." Yeah, that's bad.

Starting today, same-sex marriage is officially legalized in Thailand. It’s the first country in Southeast Asia to recognize marriage equality.

It says a lot that trump spoke more harshly about a woman of the church, Bishop Mariann Budde, who asked him kindly to "have mercy," than he has EVER spoken about a murderous dictator like Vladimir Putin. Fucking coward.

Why aren't more people using AI for good? I want to see someone capture Elon's bone movements and use AI to apply it onto conservatives. Maybe then they'll denounce it

Remembering last year I worked for the DoD and how DEI made a huge difference in my experience at work For me, it was literally as simple as hearing 'Happy Pride Month' once a year. It gave me the confidence to share a little more about my life, including something deeply important to me-my fiancé

I graduated highschool before I was allowed to marry the love of my life, and the army (people I worked with often) aren't known for acceptance. I knew the incoming administration would undo social safety nets of tolerance and that was enough for me not to feel as valued as I am valuable.

Anyway, sometimes I wonder how many people will go down a different career path without DEI. It really shouldn't be a surprise that feelings of discomfort going into a possibly intolerant environment would turn talent away. But then again, maybe that's the goal - to dismantle government operations

🚨👇🏽 Analytics show that *everyone,* regardless of political affiliation, wants to end the reign of “billionaires” & “wealthy donors.” Musk, Zuck and Bezos combined wealth is almost ONE TRILLION DOLLARS. And they’re now running the country for all intents & purposes. It’s not what we want. You? 👇🏽👇🏽

If you’re wondering what message democrats should be broadcasting for the next few years, here it is. “We’re going to DESTROY billionaires. Over the past few decades they’ve stolen trillions from you, and we’re going to TAKE IT FROM THEM AND GIVE IT BACK TO YOU.” That’s it. Say it loud & MEAN IT.

one thing i’m stuck on is this idea that “masculine” energy means license to act like a chud in public, as opposed to more traditional notions of public masculinity, such as those that put a premium on the performance of integrity, honesty, honor and generosity.

Can someone explain why TikTok is a bigger national security concern than a social media platform run by a South African technofeudal oligarch actively interfering in our elections and sabotaging our national interests here and abroad?

Still wild to me that so many "savvy" folks on left and right have bought into the idea that online misinformation is overblown and doesn't really matter. From lies about migrants to transgender people to crime to election denial to climate denial, it's literally driving our country's politics.

One of the more interesting intersections of work & life was telling my kid that actually, Congressional reports may not be reliable sources. That some committees are run by 🤡 & reports are politically-motivated lies. It’s not a reliable source just bc it’s on a .gov domain. Sad lows for Congress.

If the government shuts down Saturday, the richest man in the world will be largely to blame. You may not get access to services you depend on just before the holidays because an unelected billionaire shadow president wanted it that way. If this isn’t oligarchy, I don’t know what is.

Deny, defend, depose "How many times can someone be told their life doesn’t matter before they start carving their answer in steel." Chills.
