69% of the world's fresh water is currently used in agriculture. Industry accounts for 19%, while only 12% is used by households and communities. Today's industrial agriculture is also destroying biodiversity. We need to rethink.💚☘️🌿🌱🌲🌳🍀💚

Every $1 invested in ecosystem restoration can return up to $30. Protecting nature is not a cost. It is the best investment we have ever made. Standing forests = carbon sinks + water security + food + biodiversity.

Forests have a healthy influence on us. Not only do trees filter our air, the sight of a tree lowers our stress level. The air in a coniferous forest is particularly germ-free and even anti-inflammatory due to the many essential oils they emit - comparable to a natural antibiotic

The richest 1% produce more carbon emissions than the poorest 66% of humanity combined. Climate justice isn’t optional — it is the only path that works. Those who caused the most damage must lead the deepest cuts and fund the transition. #ClimateJustice

The relief for body and mind when you stay in such places and perceive with all your senses is priceless. Forests, the cornerstone of human life, need our protection and special attention. 💚🌿🌱☘️🌲🌳🍀💚

Ideas for a different urban planning exist, like here in Singapore, it is mostly the will that is lacking. Imagine if the buildings were lined up in rows as usual, there would be hardly any space for green areas and trees. We should think more about this.💚🌿☘️🌲🌱🌳🍀💚

Tropical forests cool the earth by 1° degrees. Trees do not only bind CO2. The strength of the cooling effect through biophysical effects of forests has been underestimated so far.💚☘️🌿🌱🌳🌲🍀💚

Deforestation is not development. It turns carbon sinks into carbon sources, wipes out gorillas and forest elephants, and helps dry out the farms downstream. In 2025, non-fire primary forest loss in the DRC hit a record.

The forest is important. Not only for us humans, but also for animals and plants. The forest fulfils many functions from which we humans benefit in many ways. We should treat our forests accordingly - with care and sustainability.💚☘️🌿🌱🌳🌲🍀💚

you'll want to see THIS: the dyed (red) diesel order sounds big, but most drivers won't benefit. states still enforce their own rules, it's not truly tax-free, and it doesn't add a single gallon of supply. I broke down why in my latest article (link below)

“The primary reason that diesel and other refined products aren’t making it out of the Middle East is that refineries across the region, in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and elsewhere, are down following missile strikes and other outages stemming from the war.”

Canada’s notwithstanding clause has become a ready-made cudgel for governments looking to bypass debate and Charter protections. As its use expands, so too does the need for stronger organized resistance to abuses of political power.

My mother-in-law, who hadn't been on a bicycle since the 1980s, visited us last year and we biked to toddler swimming class together. She's now biking 40 minutes to work everyday in Montreal because she has a separated bike lane the whole way there.

US tells some EU members to release "strategic reserves" or face a potential US diesel export ban, pushing France and Germany to do so, oil prices, along with gasoline and diesel futures strongly lower as a result.

Why are the west nations not rebuilding broad based #sustainable domestic economies while modernizing infrastructure & transit; huge domestic economy stimulus. Why continue the arms/AI/security profiteering hegemony wars that bleed finances and neglect our domestic economies

Puerto Rico is in a water crisis, as a US board slashes the island's social/infrastructure spend to protect corporate bondholders, and a developer tries to build a $2.5B private city on acres of untouched coastline. As one councilmember explains, much of this exploitation can be traced back to NYC.

Somewhere along the way we lost sight of the fact that when we harm nature, we harm ourselves. We need to return to our roots and protect what we have and rebuild what we have destroyed. Nature is priceless.💚☘️🌿🌱🌳🌲🍀💚

Green spaces provide a better urban climate, because the soil is not sealed here. The leaves of plants also help to balance the temperature and improve air quality by absorbing and filtering air pollutants and dust. The plants bind CO2 and contribute to climate protection💚🌳🌲🍀

Yesterday I picked up a Voi bike near my house at 5.05am & was at Waverley for the first London train 12 minutes later. At that time of day I was parked in 30 seconds right outside the station. I paid £1.81. Nothing else matches that speed, reliability & price. www.scotsman.com/news/transpo...
