Politics summarized: Hierarchy vs equality and fairness, and negative-sum games (war especially) vs positive-sum games (helping ordinary people, especially). So much of the rest is just name-calling.

The biggest question in the 2026 midterms is whether the US will continue to strive for equality and fairness, or whether it will simply collapse into giving the negative-sum gaming subset of billionaires the whole country. But no Democrats are saying this.

Endless campaign rhetoric about how awful Trump is. He is not running. How about mentioning the candidates' platforms and the GOP official platform?

Why the Democrats won't do as well as they think this fall: No campaigns highlight the destruction of American science. No campaigns highlight the murder of over a million people by eliminating foreign aid. No campaigns mention the national park and forest system. And so on, and on, and on....

"climate change") if it weren't for the lies of the giant oil corporations, thoroughly documented by Naomi Oreskes, Gus Speth, and many others. So when you see new disasters caused by change, always say: OIL LIES AGAIN.

The Common Good Economy, by Mariana Mazzucato. Basic Venture (Hachette Book Group). 2026. Super important book on how we could actually make governments serve the common good, instead of the super-rich and the politically powerful. She has actually walked the walk, in all sorts of projects.

Given the outrageous, dangerous, and outright false statements made about how the polio (and other) vaccine was a "fraud" (at the Children's Health Defense conference), here's a reminder of what a massive success it was. RFK Jr. & his minions must be stopped from destroying the US healthcare system.

Our health care system in America is disgusting. A clear indication that our government doesn't give a fuck if we live or die.
