Tomato pickers in Firebaugh CA earn 89¢ per 25lb bucket. Experienced workers average 170 buckets a day. Newer pickers only manage to harvest 90-110 buckets. "Joel" says "It's a very tough back-breaking job. Our hands start to swell from the 25lb buckets in each hand." #WeFeedYou

"Tragically, Trump’s Republican supporters in Congress either cheer him on or remain dismayingly silent while Trump does serious damage to the economy and to the finances of millions of struggling families. Americans shouldn’t forget this when they vote in November’s midterm elections."

"Oil will come dropping down as soon as Iran gives up, as soon as the war is over, which will be soon. Prices for groceries have come way down for Biden. Almost every price has come way down. And remember one thing -- oil is less expensive now than it was under the Biden administration."

The President of the United States is a liar.

Everyone is saying the midterm Republican Convention was a stable genius idea. ,,,"Trump’s overall approval fell three points from the previous week to an all-time low of 32 percent. Among Republicans, approval of his job performance dropped from 82 percent to 73 percent in a week",,,

thehill.comTrump’s polls sink further in warning sign for GOPPresident Trump’s approval ratings have sunk to new lows in several recent polls, driven by declining GOP support and souring views on the economy in a possible warning sign for Republicans just we…

Every paragraph of this story is like another ray of sunshine. "Since January, Republicans’ approval of Trump’s handling of the economy has dropped 24 percentage points to 56 percent, while their approval of his handling of the cost of living has fallen 26 points to 44 percent."

QUESTION: What’s going on with Susan Collins and the bribery scandal? But explain it to me like I’m five. ANSWER: Here you go 👇🏽

25 % of GDP ??? That is not accruing to labor. It is all capital spending.

mediaite.comDonald Trump Asks Americans to Vote on AI Name ReplacementPresident Donald Trump wants people to help him pick a new name to replace "artificial intelligence," which he slammed as "inaccurate" and "very ineloquent."

AI is the next Industrial Revolution, or Internet, but will be even larger and more impactful, possibly as much as 25% of our Country’s GDP. We are leading China, and the rest of the World, and I intend to keep it that way!

@aoc.bsky.social just put out a great statement on AI. Refreshing to see a major politician on the left nail this. "Silicon Valley billionaires want us to believe that Al robots will destroy humanity. But the biggest threat to humanity are the tech oligarchs themselves." 🎯

Beginning to wonder if there is a new media group similar to Tenet. Funded by Russians with the money going to ultra left wing "influencers" to make content that gets replayed ad nauseam on Republican media outlets like CBS.

I'm more worried abt Kevin Warsh not hiking than I am about a hike. Holding rates would make him look like an obsequious Trump-puppet and wreck his market cred — stocks would sell off. A hike, even if it's later read as a one-and-done or "wait-and-see" move, is more likely to produce a relief rally.

There are loads of conspiracy posts about how the Ellisons hired Bari to wreck this network but that makes no sense. They hired her because she convinced them that there is a large, underserved market for their opinions

15/ Say the mechanism plainly. This is not a dozen countries independently arriving at the same politics on their own. It is one funded network handing out cabinet ministers, model legislation, and talking points, run out of a single Virginia office for over forty years.

16/ The larger lesson is not that every policy paper becomes an invasion. It is that powerful networks build tomorrow’s “solutions” years before the public knows there is a plan. When opportunity arrives, their preferred policy is already waiting on the shelf.

Extremely funny how he started "doing the weave" while his cult had their hands raised trying to "repeat after him" during the blood oath ritual or whatever the hell that was before he told them they were going to hell if they did not vote. 🤣🤣🤣

This is a powerful story from a trans Texan (who's also quite a talented independent journalist). I've been arguing that trans people have the right to be upset with Talarico, and I think we do. This is the case for vote for him anyway, eloquently made, and by someone with the standing to make it.

I’m a Texan trans kid who almost died because of Ken Paxton. The world should know what he’s done. This was very difficult for me to write, but given what's at stake, I cannot bear to stay silent about what I went through at Paxton's hands. He must not be rewarded for what he's done to trans kids.

Both then and now, a lot of this has to do with the historically low levels of advanced munitions inventory. How squirrel still has confidence in the ex weekend Fox host remains a mystery.

Trump is honoring the ceasefire. MBS is pissed. Iran is happy. "On May 6, 2025, U.S. president Donald Trump declared an end to the strikes on Yemen, stating that they were over, "effective immediately," as a result of a ceasefire between the U.S. and the Houthis, brokered by Oman."

🇬🇧 It was always a risk that Brexit would lead to the breakup of the UK. 🇪🇺 One of the best ways to avoid that would be EU membership. 📊 It isn't just the people of Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland who want membership - our polling shows the majority of people in England want it too.

The guy's brand has been what a GREAT NEGOTIATOR he is. Turns out, his idea of "negotiating" is crude putdowns, bullying, harassment, and mafia style strong arm threats. That is not negotiating. Great negotiator, my ass.

So the best dealmaker in the entire world cannot make a deal when the other side is dying to make a deal and is calling constantly? Does Trump know this makes absolutely no sense?
