My key findings about babies having lived with one for the past 14 months are that they are brave as fuck and love to dance

On the Hugging Discourse, I a) think it's OK for grandparents to hug children, but b) think it's OK to open a discussion about consent around this, and most importantly c) think it's absolutely not OK for Jim O'Callaghan to swoop in and get the DRCC to take down a video. Also d) my brain hurts.

OK, I realise on reflection that there might be reasonable accusations of inconsistency in my Time Line, but hear me out..

I'm pretty sure this was the title of the video my friend's brother-in-law shared into the stag party WhatsApp group before the best man deleted the group

"A wet pier dries slower under the bandstand shadow" would be an excellent sleeper agent trigger phrase.

5 hours as a rickshaw puller in Dublin city when I was 19. Needed more graft and grift than I could muster and I couldn't handle the abusive British stag party crowd. Didn't even make enough to cover the rickshaw rental.

Huge development in Kermit Cromwell news

Lookit. Deep down every Irish person wants to spin some yank a yarn that gets cited as fact in some factual text. We told an Irish American girl that when the Muppets was released in Ireland, Kermit the Frog was called Dermot the Frog because Cromwell’s son was a Kermit.

My favourite is saying that swan is the traditional Easter dish in Ireland. Very easy to segue into after someone mentions that supposed fact that it's illegal to eat swan in England because the queen owns them all, so it's a thumb in the eye to the crown to commemorate the Easter rising

Kindly old ladies giving me a glowing smile as I cycle past with a baby trailer in tow. Little do they know it contains a six pack of Guinness, three large bottles of San Miguel, and a lidl power washer.

Tayto have brought out limited edition crisp packets with the 12 most popular surnames in Ireland. However, they have dropped 'Smith' and replaced it with 'McCarthy'. Free Stayto creating a cold house for citizens of planter stock. www.retailnews.ie/news-and-vie...

but neither could double dip into the vegemite without leaving butter residue inside the vegemite jar. Not happening. Not on my watch. So a third clean knife was needed to add more vegemite. Job done. The second round of toast (brace of slices) went according to plan, bringing in knives four & five.

Well I'm glad you asked. The standard approach to a round of vegimite on toast is two slices of toast and two knives. The first goes in clean to the butter, spreads it on both slices. The second goes in clean to the vegemite, spreads it, blending in with the vegemite.

Now if you've been paying attention, the first knife has butter residue while the second has both butter and vegemite residue. In this instance I had been stingy with my vegemite dip, so needed to go again. The first knife could conceivably take a second dip into the butter,

That was a long day. Time to see what's going on in the world. *opens irish times dot com reads top four headlines* Never mind.

One possible charitable explanation for the terrible round tables is that some people (Ian, Pete, Anna?) know fine well that Pauric and Carla are the traitors, but want to keep them where they can see them. Keep voting out faithful and then bang bang at the end and split the pot. #TraitorsIRL

AI is a curse on humanity and will likely kill us all but on the plus side it's useful for answering the most inane questions that pop into your head such as when did Noah overtake Noel as a baby name in Ireland (some time between 1998 and 2004)

Britain’s original plan for New Zealand had the islands split into three provinces, with nonsensical borders typical of any British colonial project. The provinces were named after Irish ones (the guy who came up with them was an Anglo-Irish colonial officer). These didn’t last for long.

Tell me a fun fact.

So the shortlist was two women and a man and then Carla says "Oíche mhaith, mo cara" instead of "Oíche mhaith, mo chara". Am I remembering my Irish grammar correctly? Is Ian toast? #TraitorsIRL

Gonna try to watch #TraitorsIRL this evening. Never watched or before and have been on zero TV of late with a babby in the house. This better deliver.. #speirgorm

This map of Civil Parishes in Dublin from the early 20th century is wild. Rathmichael has a coastline, Killiney village isn't even in Killiney, and Monkstown includes modern day Blackrock, Dún Laoghaire, and a decent chunk of Dalkey.

Was walking past this building and through the window saw this backrooms-ass room, so I accidentally took the coolest picture ever due to the window's reflection
