Fierce American raised in New Mexico and now living part-time in Germany. Proponent of recognizing nuance. Hater of hypocrisy. There is a whole world out there that should not be taken for granted.

During my year in Belgium as an exchange student, I heard one local call the country “un petit pays de rien de tout” (loosely, a small, insignificant country). Kudos to their football team as David to our ugly Goliath.

Memories: In 2016, Obama purchased 32 metric tons of Iran's excess heavy water for $8.6 million to help it stay within its allowed stockpile limits. Not only was that an excellent price, but he didn't have to go to war to get it. Diplomacy and cooperation can do wonders without murdering kids.

The same miserable people saying “don’t have kids if you can’t afford them” are the ones working to restrict sex education and eliminate access to safe abortions and even birth control.

With all of the energy that is being expended on everything that the Trump administration is destroying, we probably could have discovered the cure for cancers by now.

MAGA should not be allowed to pick and chose which science they accept. Don’t believe in vaccines? Fine, but then we’re also taking away your cars, phones, TVs & refrigerators. Throw in lights, while we’re at it. Fuck them and their “I only accept science if it directly benefits me” belief systems.

It’s sad and telling that the clamoring for the release of the Epstein files only reached a crescendo when it equated to political gain. The suffering of abused girls is just (sickly) an afterthought.

GOP Lawmakers Watch Silently As Trump Strangles Each Of Their Loved Ones In Turn theonion.com/gop-law...

theonion.comGOP Lawmakers Watch Silently As Trump Strangles Each Of Their Loved Ones In TurnWASHINGTON—Opting to take more of a wait-and-see approach instead of rushing to pass judgment, Republican lawmakers reportedly looked on in silence Tuesday as President Trump worked his way through each of their families and, one by one, strangled all their loved ones to death. “After I watched the president slowly and methodically squeeze the life out of my wife’s body as she gasped, futilely, for breath, he gave me his personal assurance that he was not responsible for her death, so I continue to stand by this administration,” said Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN), who along with every Republican in both the House and Senate stated that while killing off their families in cold blood might not be entirely proper, it was certainly not an impeachable offense, no matter how the media tried to spin it. “Now, this is not an action I would have taken myself. I personally would not have wrapped my hands around my 5-year-old son’s neck and crushed his windpipe. But if Donald Trump’s approach to governing is sometimes a bit outside the ordinary, that’s because Donald Trump is no ordinary president. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing.” Later, with his beloved sister’s face turning purple as the commander-in-chief asphyxiated her with a length of barbed wire, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared on several television news networks and said impeaching the president for her imminent death would be “insane.”

I’m thoroughly enjoying the fight between Donald Trump & Elon Musk. They are both PSYCHO MEGALOMANIAC BILLIONAIRES that are known sociopathic liars. Popcorn please!

This is really well described, and since it’s REALLY important these days (trade deficits, tariffs, trade wars and how stupid Trump and his people are about the economy), you should definitely watch it, and definitely share it. Every single repost does some real good.

Lemme explain what bilateral trade deficits are, so that you can better understand -- and perhaps be infuriated by -- the intellectual error that's transforming our economy. #TeachEcon

CECOT is to the Trump Admin what the extermination camps were to the Nazis as: a place to send people who they deem “Lebensunwertes Leben” — “life unworthy of life.” Almost a century after tens of thousands of Americans gave their lives to fight this type of evil, our government is now all in on it.

Hey, New York Times: If you’ve still got questions, I’ve got answers. Of course the Trump Administration is ignoring the Supreme Court’s April 7 Per Curiam Order.

To be clear: I have been busy with, well, yeah, but fuck JK Rowling and the anti-trans hate she happily basks in. (And fuck everyone over on this side of the ocean who decided that hating on a minority population like she has was the right approach to feeling better about yourself.)

The orange felon respects El Salvador’s sovereignty seeing as its leader is a dictator and he refuses to respect the actual sovereignty of Ukraine, Canada and Greenland because he wants to see them all invade and stripped of their natural recourses. He’s as diabolical as he is insane.

Come on man. It’s just all so demoralizing. Remember: the Republican Congress could stop this - ALL of this - at anytime, they simply choose not to.

I was telling German friends about Stephen Miller’s behind-the-scenes power last night and, of course, they had never heard of him. I then had to expend precious mental energy trying to come up with a way to explain him. Fortunately, the phase “fucking anti-Christ” did a lot of heavy lifting for me.

I may not be as prophetic as some, nor am I some great writer, but I sure as shit know when someone is coming for my rights, and I’m just not fucking having it. Is that plain enough for y’all? #ResistanceUnited #ProudBlue

Trump’s logic, as applied by me: My cats have run up a huge trade deficit with me, so I have just started insisting that they scoop their own litter boxes. Will show them.

The Trump Administration “can’t” get unlawfully-detained Kilmar Abrego Garcia back from CECOT because it “can’t” afford to have someone in the United States who could speak out and shed even more light on the atrocities that the administration is committing.
