Holy cow, just binged through the first 4 chapters for the “Game of Life” audiobook from by @doppelfoxxpublishing.com, and I’m already feeling trippy after listening to the amazing story & narration. 😍🤩📚
You should be reading this not just if you're a fan of furry giants and/or monsters, but if you're a fan of queer 1970s noir.
Detective Salix Witherspoon is on a new case, one with an impossible suspect. "The Monster Inside Us" starts today! First episode is FREE for everyone! You can read the episode on Patreon or download the PDF directly from the website! www.patreon.com/vulpesmaximu...
I kind of mixed the first and fourth ones, in that I got lucky with an office job that paid well enough that I'm okay for a while now that I'm technically unemployed. (Also, have I mentioned my Patreon lately.)
Would YOU like to work in a creative field? Here are some options! - work your ass off and get lucky - Nepotism!! - post about it really hard and hope it works out - get an office job and do the creative stuff in your free time

Ok, I have potentially lost my mind and ordered a "BYOK", which basically turns any Bluetooth keyboard into a digital typewriter.

this is something I do worry about, not because I think the GOP are even doing this necessarily--but because I think that on the left we are uniquely vulnerable to giving up in disillusionment if our wildest dreams don't come 100% true.
I’m conspiratorial enough to wonder whether the gop freakouts are an attempt to manage expectations so that anything short of a blowout is a disappointment www.texasmonthly.com/news-politic...
Nothing. He said nothing. He said it *tactfully,* to be sure, but "everybody's welcome to come in and have a great chicken sandwich" is not an "official position on equal rights".
I'm not really even into TTRPGs anymore and this still seems like another reason to eventually move to the Seattle area
Hello, fellow adventurers! We're merely two days away from our opening: October 17 at 1pm is when the Silver Door finally opens to guests. Check out our last pre-open news post – silverdoor.games/news/2026-10... – and we hope to see you soon!
I have just crumbled to dust, it was nice knowing you all
Pitching ‘Losing My Religion’ by @kyellgold.com at BLFC has been a GME*. The number of folks that didn’t know R.E.M., a band that was incredibly popular for over a decade, was a dose existential dread, but also a chance to fanboy and introduce folks. Not fading on my watch! *gray muzzle event.

New post: “Review: The Magician” An origin story for a Korps supervillain that’s simultaneously wildly magical and deeply emotional. https://giants-club.net/articles/review-the-magician/
I keep thinking of writing a dangerous robotic anthro animal story, and as my last attempt turned into something else entirely, the thought is still with me. (Distinct from my giant robotic vixen war machine story, that is: )
I never kill characters to "raise the stakes". If I kill a character I want to either make you pump your fist and yell "yeah!" or to leave you so emotionally devastated you swear blood vengeance against me
she said "you can do anything in fiction as long as the situation afterwards is more interesting that the situation before." since then i have been keeping an eye on character death in fiction. many writers seem to think that character death "raises the stakes" but actually just makes things boring
