Today's decision by Labour to approve new drilling in the North Sea is climate vandalism. It's a betrayal of all of our futures, and Labour has abandoned all credibility in the fight against climate change. This is a victory for Shell over the people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cw...

The Energy Secretary says North Sea drilling “won’t take a penny off energy bills.” The Health Secretary says summer heatwaves put pressure on the NHS. So where’s the Government’s impact assessment? If they don’t have one, they should delay the decision on drilling for oil & gas until they do.

Oligarchy & Bankers will watch entire communities get wiped out by climate disasters or austerity & they won't bat an eyelid. But if a brick goes through the window of a Starbucks? They’re absolutely convulsed with horror. Strip its knickers off—they only care about property, never people. #France

All the signs are that Burnham is determined to ignore climate breakdown and its devastating consequences for the UK, and to row back on climate action This is criminally negligent and despicable www.theguardian.com/environment/...

theguardian.comAndy Burnham moves to cut new EV sales targetsPossible cut from 80% down to as little as 50% could add millions of tonnes of CO2 to emissions and comes amid UK heatwaves

Still gobsmacking that Andy Burnhams response to the deaths from the climate crisis has been to pledge to try & stop the sale of single use barbeques. A monumental mistake. Time to do the right thing. Fund our firefighters & say no to new oil & gas. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

theguardian.comGreen groups urge Andy Burnham to break silence on climate crisisMore than 50 organisations say PM urgently needs to show leadership and prepare British people for scale of change needed as UK struggles through another heatwave

I believe Clacton deserves an MP who will spend their time shining a light on everything the area has to offer. And why wait till I'm elected? I've been to visit one of the constituency's most stunning landmarks.

Listening to a Tory MP on @lbc.co.uk arguing that the reason that electricity is so expensive is because of Net Zero and decarbonisation whilst completely ignoring the pricing structure that maintains our high prices and the record breaking profits of the oil companies off the back of the Iran war.

Whilst the cost of living crisis continues to spiral, with food and fuel prices soaring, so do global oil and gas companies profits. Shell has today announced it's profits have more than doubled. This is obscene. www.reuters.com/business/ene...

Reported today that Labour plans to withhold benefits to people who have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain. Performative cruelty and total cowardice. That’s why the Greens will replace Labour.

So Nigel Farage decided the best way to counter questions around not declaring a £5m donation by spending 15mins playing the victim, resigning, forcing a by-election he's going to stand in, and costing the British tax payer a large amount of money. The arrogance of this man knows no bounds.

It's obvious to point out attacks against Muslims get ignored - but still needs repeatedly calling out. An Antisemitic attack should be reported and action taken. But where is the same media outrage, cobra meetings and calling of national emergency when 5 Muslims are attacked?
