I’m giving Bluesky another crack I think - I just couldn’t quite get into it the first time I’ll start with a sustainable healthcare celebration - since the nitrous oxide consensus statement came out in June 2024, we’ve saved the equivalent of 370 return trips to the moon in CO2 in manifold nitrous

Flash floods hit northern Nepal on Sunday, sweeping away buildings and at least one bridge along the Budhi Gandaki River. The torrent comes just weeks after a devastating flood on the border with Tibet that killed more than a thousand people.

Heisenberg, Schrödinger, and Ohm are on a road trip, and they get pulled over. Heisenberg is driving, and the cop asks him, “Do you know how fast you were going?” “No, but I know exactly where I am,” Heisenberg replies. 1/3

The cop says, “You were going eighty miles an hour.” Heisenberg throws up his hands and shouts, “Great! Now I’m lost!” The cop thinks this is suspicious and orders him to pop open the trunk, then says, “Do you know you have a dead cat back here?” 2/3

“Well, I do now, asshole!” shouts Schrödinger. The cop tries to arrest them. Ohm resists. From “Is This A Funny Story? A Stage-Four Memoir” by Ellen Vanstone

Some excellent advice for authors of medical research. Be sure to pick off relevant reporting guidance as you go (CONSORT, STROBE, etc)

What is the role of outcome feedback as a source of clinical learning? Of patient follow-up in reflective practice and clinician wellbeing? Is its interpretation fully aligned with existing professional expectations that doctors learn from clinical outcomes? #AnSky doi.org/10.1111/anae...

Put another way, Ford wants to spend more on removing bike lanes in Toronto ($48M) than he's spent protecting all of Ontario's businesses from an international trade war. Ontario deserves serious leadership, that follows through on promises, and actually puts people before profits.

USTR is carrying some heavy buckets of water these days. Recall (per USTR), only 2 countries retaliated against Trump tariffs: 1) China; 2) Canada. This presser suggests USD$30B in forthcoming tariff relief for imports from China. On Tuesday, ~$1B in booze from Canada will banned from import by US

Being there. A skill set that I haven’t (thankfully) had to put to a lot of use. But know I’ll need to get better at.

They tried their best to make the idea of having more things we want nearby, more options and choices in our cities and neighborhoods, seem like a conspiracy. But never forget what the REAL urban conspiracy has been — moving everything further away and making us car dependent. #1HourCityConspiracy

The Trump administration wants to cull people with disabilities from the workforce. Requests for disability accommodations are not special privileges. They are required for people with disabilities to be able to work, and they should not be treated carelessly or maliciously.
