“Spamming” nail content creators with an offer of a free $25 gift card, let’s see if it works (all they have to do is answer some questions)!

So far I’ve snagged ONE content creator and 3 friends to answer my silly questions about nail polish (thanks you know who you are!!)

remembering when a kid in my school declared amongst a group of friends he was starting the no homework club and a rumor went around the school that he was going to bring weapons to school, all bc a “concerned parent” of one of the friends blew it up. fucking stupid

So the "advice" doled out in this column makes me INCREDIBLY fucking angry as a former kid who was repeatedly taken to task by teachers for "inappropriate" drawings, culminating in a 9th-grade suspension spurred by Columbine paranoia and residual Satanic Panic. Arionne here says that was JUSTIFIED.

In 30 min doing my monthly radio show! Keepin it sPoOkY for spooky season this month for Just a Dilettante with the music of Coil. I love Coil and their creepy sounds, so this pairing only made sense to me. Tune in and get scared with me!

“The followers must feel humiliated by the ostentatious wealth and force of their enemies…However, the followers must be convinced that they can overwhelm the enemies. Thus, by a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.” This is not weird.

They're weirdly pressing two kinds of white supremacist lies at once -- some non-white immigrants are poverty-wracked criminals who are eating our dogs and cats, but other non-white immigrants are rich elites who are buying up mansions and flying first class. Pick a fucking lane, you clowns.

Do you seem to operate at a slower pace than everyone else? Are you easily distracted by your own thoughts? Is waking up a struggle for you? You may suffer from CDS! This doc is geared toward children, but if you answered yes to all of the above there may be helpful info you can glean from this!

In this clip from the new episode of The Tonearm Podcast, composer + pianist Midori Hirano describes her live setup for The Juniper Tree, which pairs piano with synthesizers, and explains why the film called for two sound sources that act as opposites. More: podcast.thetonearm.com/midori-hiran...

Thinking about when in my sophomore year of college I weighed 101 and my boyfriend at the time would call me “Glenna Cow”

Was telling my boss about my painful interstitial cystitis so she ordered me a buddy you can heat up or cool down to put on the pain

Gave my coworker a ride home from Gramaphone the other day and after noticing our car is manual she was like “you’re the most Midwest person I know” and I’m taking it as a compliment

always a cute time in Madison here I am in a bathroom right after I brushed my hair (my favorite rave/party activity)

I found this pic back in 2016 (or maybe earlier but saved it to my phone then) and it’s remained the perfect encapsulation of my clothing aesthetic (90s adidas wearer)

Idk why new posts in this thread are not showing up in my feed or timeline but check out my thread of spooky nail colors 👻🎃💀

I really loved the orange I was wearing but felt compelled to do a spookier color so I decided all of October I’ll only wear spooky colors. Starting with “Romulus” by Emily de Molly, inspired by the Alien movie series

I’m not a parent so maybe I don’t get it but is it weird that parents inject their interests into their kids? Like buying babies football jerseys of the team their dad likes & whatnot? Is it impossible to be interest-free when steering kids towards their own interests? Just curious as a non parent!
