running my simulator for 10 ingame years at full sim fidelity for all NPCs (~200, give or take some births beginning a few years in) takes about 6 hours, thatβs not too shabby
We have 3 rescue parrots who run our house. Dim lighting and a small space, but Iβve been trying to get flight photos of them, and had yet to get any of Adobe, our green-cheeked conure. Heβs small, fast and just explodes into flight.
But finally! Hereβs Adobe heading to a new spot to sit!

I have an inkling that all the raptors today were looking for one particular seasonal snack #birds#birding#bird#birdphotography#nature#wildlife#wildlifephotography#woodcock#timberdoodle
Both kidlets showed up for visit number 4 at 2:30. One is really showing off the orange and white eye liner! The other is crest up tail up in the sun. A few small stray clouds popped up. May be running out of roadrunner weather by Friday - Sunday π€·ββοΈ

Today's alt #BirdOfTheDay is #grounded so here's a great grey owl attempting to get to a vole through the snow. Not a pose you see every day.

Black-crowned Waxbills in a huddle, #Kisoro, #Uganda 10/26. Found in grassy areas, forest edges, woodlands & savannas. Usually in pairs or flocks & make high pitched sounds. #bird#biodiversity#conservationphotography#birding#blackcrownedwaxbills#birdsofafrica#birdphotography#birdseenin2026
was able to get snaps of at least 3 types of parrots that descended on my home earlier today after a big rain storm
went to check outside as I heard parrots screaming, finding Blue-crowned Parkaeets, Orange-winged Amazons, and Red-crowned Amazons doing low passes at each other and also me

The other day at the Cabrillo National Monument I spotted a towhee flitting around in a bush
Even though I was there with the wrong camera and wrong lens, I got a picture
Turns out this is a California Towhee
yeah this is a major problem right now. the volume and signal to noise ratios are such that youβre basically fucked without a referral in most cases, like, more than had already been the case
Alan's theme for #BirdOfTheDay via Rob is #Branched, birds on thin branches. Male bullfinch taken earlier in the summer. Have a good day folks #rspb.bsky.social#rspb.scotland.bsky.social#NaturePhotography#nature#wildlife#wildlifephotography#birds#birdphotography#birdwatching#ECK
