Another thought on this - storage space (ie - SSDs) have increased so sharply in price that storing digital games is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive. Discs are DIRT CHEAP to produce - so even if you have to install them, you have a physical, cheap solution right there.

I guess that's that then, huh? The end of buying games for PlayStation for me - at least, for the most part. I guess I'll still play some games from time to time but talk about destroying interest in a platform. Only Nintendo remains but for how long? blog.playstation.com/2026/07/01/p...

So, a bunch of new people followed in the wake of Power Piggs. Here are some other videos we did on older games. We will be doing more because they don't inevitably lead to drowning in toxic sludge.

In Super Mario World, green berries increase the timer. By strategically eating them to make the timer pass 100 multiple times, the music can be sped up repeatedly. It turns out that the music engine cannot handle more than 20 speed-ups, and slows down to a crawl instead.

Silksong complete! At least as far as beating the last boss (3rd ending). I don't feel the need to seek out all the pins/charms etc or do a crazy challenge mode. Great game! Just 2 bosses I thought were a little over the top, but otherwise great world to explore and I loved the music and story.

Fun event for a great cause!

Been feeling like it'd be better to use social media a lot less lately, but now I really think I'm gonna bow almost completely out. Tired of what social media ends in and how much time I waste on it for nothing.

A small change, but one that has had a huge impact for my tacos, has been rinsing the diced white onion under cold water before using them on tacos. They're extra crisp, clean flavor, and without the harshness typically associated with raw onion

Fall of the House of Usher is a true treat, especially for those familiar with Poe's work. Probably the best adaptation of Poe I can think of, and I've seen many. Perfect October watching, don't miss this one!

Beef barbacoa tacos, tried a different pickled red onion method of using just lime juice and salt instead of the more common vinegar based pickling solution. The lime version is sooo much better for Mexican cuisine!

Some salsas I made recently. Tomato based roja, a dried arbol and guajillo roja with roasted garlic, pure guajillo and garlic verison, roasted tomatillo verde and a roasted habanero garlic lime. The guajillo and garlic one is a surprise fav, super fruity and deep flavor with a medium to mild heat.

Today, I was trying different homemade salsas on carnitas tacos, as well as a cheesy dry pan fried verison. Everything homemade except for the tortillas. Salsa roja with arbol and guajillo chiles, salsa Mexicana, and one with a lime crema.

Salsa verde version and the cheesy dry fried verison came out best I think! The verde had a bright, more acidic flavor that cut through the rich carnitas and the cheesy one just doubles down on the decadence that's super comforting

Been working on recipe testing for possible pie in the sky idea of a cook book eventually at the suggestion of friends and family. Even if it's just to pass on to friends, family, and my son, I'm going to keep working on it! I'll be posting my on going work on here.

You are up to date.
