i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Second full listen-through of the album reinforces my belief that Super Furry Animals were a lost Elephant 6 band that somehow just ended up in Wales.

We tried "everyone is entitled to an opinion" for three straight decades and all we have to show for it is four thousand cases of measles and a death cult running the government. It's time for people who don't know what they're talking about to shut the fuck up.

the trump administration just fired someone but this time it is… no it is another woman they fired

Phil Lewis@phillewis.bsky.social

Britt McHenry is no longer in her role as a press advisor for Trump’s Department of State following a viral video that showed her throwing a drink at a Wizards game, FOS reports She had just joined the admin last month

I know going, "Chris Samnee is an amazing artist" is just stating the obvious, but, man: look at the lighting and shadows on Alfred in this shot.

Going to play good cop to my bad cop earlier (we really need a better analogy) on AI slop. We may not always get this right at BF but one thing I try and emphasise to the team is that it’s not necessarily about whether the art in a comic is aesthetically “good” or “bad.”

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

Now is the time to care about everyone, not “once we win” The time to care about everyone is always always always now

this article confirms what ive been telling younger comic writers for years: unless you are very wealthy, there is no point to table in artist alley at a big show (unless table comped). you will not make your money back & your time’s better spent meeting people www.comicsbeat.com/is-artist-al...

comicsbeat.comIs Artist Alley even sustainable any more? It's more expensive than ever to set up in artist alley or at a comics show - and here are some of the numbers

Just going to be straight here — no pun intended: I am the only journalist who has been covering this issue in depth, was often the only journalist at hearings, and was the only one explaining what DOJ was actually arguing here. Support my work if you can: www.lawdork.com/subscribe

BREAKING: SCOTUS rejects Trump admin's request to allow it to end gender-affirming medical care in prisons — a significant, if tentative, rejection of one of the admin's most extreme anti-trans arguments. Only Thomas and Alito noted they would have granted the stay. More to come: www.lawdork.com

Adding to the choir praising Bad Company now that 2000 AD has announced a new collection, but in addition to everyone talking about Milligan's (amazing) writing, I'll add that the art on those first two runs is fucking spectacular: Brett Ewins and Jim McCarthy making b+w comics sing like few others.

One of the two fundamental craft influences in terms of how I write large-cast team books. It's a hell of a war is hell book.

Eating the rich is only revolutionary if we also remember to feed each other.

I feel like these four separate Beatles biopics is a long con prank on poor Barry Keoghan, because let's not pretend that the Ringo movie is going to sell way less tickets than the other three.

"I told her no more five issue stores... you have as long as you need" feels like an especially important statement from the new EiC of Marvel.

Frighty MacDonald@comixace.bsky.social

Willow Wilson on Captain Marvel with Rachel Stott. “I told her no more five issue stories,” says Wacker. “You have as long as you need.” Now @gailsimone.bsky.social in person to talk about x stuff.

And also: I've never really found myself especially drawn to Carol Danvers as a character, but G. Willow Wilson and Rachael Stott is a great fucking creative team.

I can only hope that the M3GAN comic includes SOULM8TE in there somewhere, a movie that deserved so much more. (Note: it is not a good movie, and yet.)

Guys, this post got me a Bsky blue check. I couldn't be happier that this is how it happened.

Erica Henderson@ericafails.bsky.social

Currently at the bathroom at NYCC having the worst shit of my life and someone outside of my stall says "Erica Henderson is here" and it takes me a few seconds to realize they mean the con and not the toilet

The branding of compendiums as Marvel Bricks is such a smart move. Instead of people going, "Oh, compendiums like DC and Skybound have been doing for years?" fans are talking about the Bricks like they're something new and getting excited about them.

Bill Mudron@mudron.bsky.social

I have to admit that putting out cinderblock-sized doorstop compendiums and calling them "Marvel Bricks" is pretty great branding.

Zoe and Chloe's story in the Scream! special is so, so, so good, you guys. Worth the price of admission by itself (although the rest of the special is also worth the money).

Zoe TunnHELL@zoewithasword.bsky.social

NEXT WEEK: Trixie Turnwell stars in THE RAT RACE in SPEED RACER: TALES FROM THE ROAD from me and @vicmalhotra.bsky.social AND THEN ON 10/28: A tale of capitalist sci-horror bimbofication in CONSENT IS KEY in SCREAM from me, @comixbychloe.bsky.social @longtalljodie.com and @jpjordan.bsky.social

Reminder to all my comics homies as NYCC rolls out announcement after announcement of new projects: Anything announced this week has been in production for months, maybe years. You are not being left behind. You are not failing. It's okay. Take a deep breath and keep working on projects you love.
