Thank you for saying this, Stabler! 99% of what I sell at my tables is handmade. Hand painted originals, or hand carved fursuit partials. I try really hard to make sure I have a good selection of goods that are one of a kind. It's a lot of work to restock for every con, but I love what I do!

I think vibecoding is just as bad and hobbyless as generating art or text, actually. Even if we ignore the environmental / land use / security impacts, it's still directly devaluing a human craft. Just hire someone.

If any artist contact you on discord to ask you for commission, reach out to them on a different platform to verify if it's really them. No reputable artist will beg for your money in your dms.

a friend in Dallas got this gem of a political text today. The PAC, Texans for Common Sense PAC, is funded by Texans United for a Conservative Majority PAC, of which a GOP mega donor named Tim Dunn, who you may have heard of, is a major funder of.

As much as I love this season, I dread the winter months. And since my cancer diagnosis, some of my plans have changed. I canceled my original plans because I thought I would be having surgery, only to find out now that surgery isn't an option anymore.
