One of the big tidal forces of the coming years is that the baseline reliability of things you see on a screen is going to decline. I think this has not been adequately metabolized. This is one version, but there are a bunch of them.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving. Gift link: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

When Republicans hold power, they use it to hurt people, tank the economy, and distort our democracy to keep themselves in power because hurting people and tanking the economy is unpopular. And Mike Lawler used his deciding vote to be his Party’s Poster Boy.
Lawmakers have defended the bill as simply purging Medicaid of illegal immigrants and ensuring that those who can work are not relying on Medicaid in order to avoid doing so. It’s a wildly inaccurate portrayal of what these reforms will actually do.

Lawler is my Congressman... and he Suuuucks!
🧵 NY-17 Rep. Mike Lawler had a local social worker physically dragged out of his town hall Sunday night. Emily Feiner was singled out by private security, lifted out of her seat, as the crowd chanted “let her stay” and “shame, shame.” She’s a constituent. Not a threat. Fascism again.
