(🚨) PROOF EXCLUSIVE: A Dozen Ways Trump Is Rigging the Midterms This isn’t a listicle. It’s an exhaustive, sourced report on the most under-attack election cycle in American history. Whatever the result in November—and we should all vote for the one we want—Trump *has* criminally rigged the system.

sethabramson.substack.comPROOF EXCLUSIVE: A Dozen Ways Trump Is Rigging the MidtermsEveryone should vote. Democrats may do well. But neither of those facts alters the reality of what the 2026 midterms are: a rigged event under assault by a fascist, his regime, and his foreign allies.

@klobuchar.senate.gov this is the kind of thing AIPAC is doing. Kat generated a TON of excitement and turned out quite the vote, and she is very articulate in the ways local govt can help constituents. It's exactly this type of candidate we need to see more of in the DFL!

NEW: Chicago Progressive Partnership super PAC, which launched ads attacking Kat Abughazaleh and then eventually in favor of Bushra Amiwala as an apparent attempt to split the vote, has filed its FEC report, which reveals it was another shell group for AIPAC and its allies

21 years ago today I saw my first Phish show. Night 2 at Alpine Valley - what a banger that was! Two months later the band broke up and I didn't get to see them again until summer of 2009. I've now seen them 50 times. Hell yeah.

Jeffries: There are three big issues with the bill 1. It represents the largest cut to healthcare in American history. 2. It represents the largest cut to nutritional assistance in American history. 3. All of this is being done to enact the largest tax break for billionaires in American history.

It would be laughable were it not so damn infuriating. "Next time you point a finger I might have to bend it back and break it, break it off. Next time you point a finger, I'll point you to the mirror!"

Great news folks. Marco Rubio will not stand for the federal government or its agencies targeting institutions or organizations because of their political beliefs. That’s third-world stuff that can’t be allowed to happen here. You still believe all this, Marco, right? Right?

Trump in 2023: “If I win, before I get into the office, I will have the war settled. 100% sure.” 2025: “The President has spent 87 days…taking efforts to bring this war to an end. We are now reaching a point where we need to decide and determine whether this is even possible.”

Just a reminder that Trump/DOJ continuing to let Abrego Garcia sit in CECOT is *a crime*. Deprivation of rights under color of law is a crime. Was it an "error" at first? Maybe. But once they were aware of the error, and ordered by a judge to return him, and then refusing, it's willful 1/

Oh. "This is about whether we have functional constitutional government in this country. If the IRS can go after you because of what you think or what you believe or what you do, we'd no longer live in a free country.“

I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you. The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

1. On January 9, Elon Musk post on X that he would provide a “free” month of internet access to those impacted by the deadly wildfires, But missing from Musk's announcement was a costly detail: To claim the free month residents first would have to spend a minimum of $349 on a Starlink hardware kit

Finishing this fucked up year by hitting my quarterly quota (98% for the year, le sigh,) healing a sprained ankle, hopefully NOT getting my daughter's pneumonia, and eating a big ol' edible. #YEMSG #couchtour

You are up to date.
