I've been playing the Remastered Diablo 2, and I have to report something: potions are *enormous*. The small potion bottles are minor ones, and look about 1 L. The next size up is 2 L; the super potions look to be about 5 L. Super rejuvenation potions are pumpkin sized.

On the one hand, I shouldn't wish my country ill. On the other hand, Canada's grandfathers bled with my grandfathers fighting the Nazis. When we were attacked on 9/11, we asked Canada to send their sons and they bled with our troops in Afghanistan. To betray that bond - we'll deserve what we get.

there's a whole lot going on in "AI discourse" but a lot of it arises from people who work in tech still not getting it that the baseline perception of their work has been shifting hard for at least a decade, from "one of the more positive aspects of society" toward a much more ambivalent view

the nostalgia diner industry should have aged past the 50s. I should be able to go to an era-accurate 90s diner, served a room temp Fruitopia by staff in babydoll dresses, there should be a Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition machine against the wall. They could sell Desert Storm trading cards.

lol, laffo, Quote: "How did so many scholars, from so many different fields, become so thoroughly convinced of a heady view in epistemology, especially one that is stubbornly rejected by the mainstream of professional philosophers (Boghossian 2006, Nagel 1997)"

3. Postmoderns, IE people who reject the concept of truth. This last one is a slippery definitional fish, since it is frequently tossed (also, like a fish) in the face of anyone who the speaker disagrees with, so let me say "rejecting the very concept of truth in its most basic form as accessible

or knowable." I'm actually surprised postmodernism has come up, since it's been a trend in American academic circles since like the 1970s - which badly undercuts the basic argument that this is any sort of a concern, since this is about "recent developments."
