I guess I should add some context to the thing the other day: I still have my wisdom teeth, and the crowding caused two of my teeth on my lower jaw to crack at some point. One got infected on Thursday, which led to a fairly painful abd very long day.

This was a late night trip to the ER, followed by an early trip to the dentist, and some fairly short notice tooth extractions shortly thereafter. Apart from a short hour and a half nap while the nerve block from the ER did its thing, and short time I was out for the extraction I hadn't slept.

It was a two day stretch that seemed like five that included a full work day, and a strangely difficult time sleeping after the fact. Upside is, I have zero pain a few days after the fact so at least the recovery is going splendidly. Still not looking forward to work, but what's new?

My coworker left nothing but messes and disasters for me, and madd no progress on the hot jobs that needed to be done. This is why its hard to take time off.

I also really appreciate all the friends I have and the ones I've made. Was great sneaking away for mini golf, hearing heinous stories from DnD over sushi, sharing cursed memes, and playing Cosmic Encounter with a new bunch. Can't wait till next time <3

BLFC was good this year. After a decade of working the con, and being retired from a few years I think I can really appreciate all the work that goes into making a good event.

I feel like I have some sort of neurotic dysfunction when it comes to socializing with folks I dont see often. Like, I could see myself spending a whole con with some folks, but I feel like I'm being a bother if I ask to hangout with them if we part off from each other.

Man, do workplaces just not have schedules anymore? I'm not supposed to run any machinery till I have another person in the shop, and they're nearly an hour and a half late. It doesnt help that I want to get through this work week as fast as I can so I can get to the con and see my friends either!

Surgery recovery is a little behind schedule, I seemed to have had a minor tear in top of the incision from moving thats taking a while to heal. Nothing painful or messy, just likely due to my skin healing without me actually moving like I normally do. (I miss you hot tub)

Upside is, the surgery appears to have cost me nothing according to the insurance quote I got this morning. Still need to confirm with the hospital, but that really offsets the delayed recovery.

I may need a few episodes to warm up to her, but I'm just not feeling Nigella. Seems far too formal, and doesn't seem to have any chemistry with Paul.

Nothing starts a day off right like waiting 20mins in line at the Starbucks drive through only to find out they don't have my order ready. Had to abandon my $20 coffee and egg bites because I had to get to work. I wish there was another coffee place nearby :/
