Vivaria 2: Craft a living, breathing ecosystem in this simulation. cherrysdev.itch.io/vivaria-2

#screenshotsaturday Got this forest tech demo thing moving in #Picotron. Needs 30fps to stay looking nice, but so far I've managed to procgen all the art in lua so it'd still be a small enough cart for BBS. All my other WIP projects exceeds 256k cart limit 😅 #indiedev #gamedev #scapes #forest

😎‼️🤓 incredibly cool website 🕸️🔗🏄 The Crawler Zoo 👉 crawlerzoo.com “A live menagerie of the automata that visit this website. Every creature is drawn from its own user-agent string. No bots were harmed. Several were mildly inconvenienced.”

Ok, the website should be fully migrated now!

My website will be down for a bit, migrating to a new webhost!

Still looking for an EU-based webhost to migrate to; I was interested in the Swiss company Infomaniak but looked just now and immediately saw an ad for their "ethical AI assistant". I wonder if there are any options that'd also offer e.g. webmail & Cpanel but no AI nonsense...

I'm surprised at how nice these floating platforms ended up looking on first try

Tower of Gold is coming November 1st! 🎉 It's a massive puzzle/action game with a first-person overworld full of characters and mysteries. I'll release a trailer alongside the game, but here's a small teaser in the meantime! #indiegames #indiedev

I've been preparing fresh chanterelles for freezing lately and Fondue has realized that she likes them and has nabbed a couple from the pan. Here's her realizing that I put a lid on the pan (the stove is not on & she doesn't go there when the stove is hot). I gave her one tiny chanterelle later

Added a mining elevator to Planet Keke, and initially copied the code for it from a metro train along with its movement. Whee!

Today we have two big AMAs happening on Reddit RIGHT NOW. Come ask Peter C. Hayward and @hempuli.bsky.social about their mind-bending creation — Baba Is You: The Board Game here: www.reddit.com/r/BabaIsYou/...

Yay, the campaign for the boardgame is now live: www.kickstarter.com/projects/bit... #babaisyou

Decided to write a second part to my previous blogpost, discussing an unfinished 2010 platformer building on the game I abandoned earlier, and containing some precursor material for Environmental Station Alpha: www.hempuli.com/blog/index.p...

I wrote an article about a metroidvania project I had in 2009 that I never finished but which was effectively a precursor for ESA & ESA 2: www.hempuli.com/blog/index.p...

🦭🎣 Announcement! 🎣🦭 We’re partnering with @playismen.bsky.social to bring Sea Sniffers to the world! Today we’re revealing our brand-new trailer, launching our revamped Steam page, and sharing what we’ve been working on! #gamedev #pixelart #indiegames #construct3

Warning! There are currently at least 2 scam websites posing as Baba Is You merch stores (babaisyou .shop & babaisyou .store) that will probably steal personal info. Fangamer is the only official site for Baba merch. I'm not sure how much I can do to contest the sites atm but I'll look at my options
