Artificial Idiocracy : The hollowing out of organisations through AI, to the point where we find ourselves in a place where something goes wrong, and there is nobody left with the expertise to know what to do.

@caseynewton.bsky.social I've labeled a concept Artificial Idiocracy in an article - AI outsourcing so much thinking that when problems need solving, there is no one left to solve it. Not looking for any press but I like the phrase & was surprised it's not being used. Yours to use if desired!

My daughter saved a pet turtle today that was sprinting towards a busy intersection. She plopped them in a cardboard box, and after some door knocking returned them to their owner. Apparently the turtle was confused after awaking from hibernating. I know the feeling.

My first post on Bluesky, and the I-Love-The-Internet side of me is absolutely loving the vibe here. Meanwhile, the old bedraggled Digg/Twitter/Reddit side is wondering what's the over under for the amount of years that will pass before the admins do something on here which infuriates us.

I'm working diligently on bluesky to make sure that my follower and following count are always in perfect balance. I should probably look at making my post count equal those two added together.

I'm living in the alternate timeline where Val Kilmer was nominated and won the Oscar for playing Doc Holliday in 1993's Tombstone. It's a universe of World Peace, Cold Fusion, and Flying dogs.

On July 4th, 1892 famed American author Walt Whitman exploded while attempting to create a quadruple entendre. Each year Americans celebrate Whitman through dazzling displays of fireworks on this date.

Sometimes I look at people's profiles and it's just them all the way down their timeline. BORING. Add some color, add some flair, spice up your life and your feed by reposting funny, interesting people. Share your friends with the world, it will brighten everyone's day.

Movie Idea # 163 : A professional Formula 1 driver... but they are terrified of moving at speed. They never get any better through the film, and just scream constantly during races and breathlessly tell reporters after each race that, “It was just too fast... Too fast.”

As a kid in the 80's I was full of anxiety and convinced it was just a matter of time before I was murdered by #1 - Killer Bees #2 - Quicksand #3 - Thermonuclear War #4 - Nostradamus Prophecies that somehow included all three of the above.

The news cycle just keeps spinning faster and faster. I’m jealous of the 1200s where the hot topic for two Months straight was, “Turnips are Agrowin!”

I know that you know me as a world class expert on deep sea submersible rescues, but did I mention my extreme skills and extensive background in Russian civil-military relations with particular reference to private military corporations?

With each passing year, all those Post Apocalyptic 1980's movie dystopias are looking better and better as a lifestyle choice. Sure... there's all the radiation, roving band of cannibalistic mutants and solar flares, but on the plus side house prices look pretty damn affordable.

All the humans that enjoyed various items of food between two pieces of bread prior to 1765, are floating about in the afterlife utterly enraged that the 4th Earl of Sandwich somehow got naming rights.
