Hi, I'm Melora, the main source of scanned #Zelda art & out-of-print publications since The Internet. I was also the lead campaigner for Zelda manga & art/info books to exist outside of Japan. Join me as I try to create a gallery of every piece of licensed Zelda art via collecting & with your help!

Mf'er. Well, guess who was right. (It's not big but it turns out I do have one.) I swear this meme sums up my whole life.

I asked for an MRI to see if I had a pituitary tumor pressing on my sleep switch & they were like "see no reason for that." I told them I had Addison's and they were like "that's primary (adrenals), not secondary (pituitary,) so you don't have one." "And I was like:" and then they said ^ that. 🤷‍♀️

If anyone wants to chip in for a birthday present (of sorts), we are saving up to buy a 4K-compatible capture card so we can gather screenshots of the Ocarina of Time remake in as best quality as possible. Any amount helps!

Today marks our four-year anniversary of regaining our independence! Thank you to everyone for supporting us.

Knock on wood but hopefully we're headed in the right direction with my health. The past 2 weeks seems like they cleared some things up, diagnostically. I might have just been wildly under-dosed for year for an autoimmune disorder I have. Up-dosing by a lot this week seems to be helping 🤞

Melora (@historyofhyrule.com) has been archiving and documenting Zelda history since 2001(!!!), perhaps doing more for the series than anyone else. She scans in the highest resolution of anyone I know, and truly cares for her craft. She is also enormously kind!!! historyofhyrule.carrd.co

Got my cooy of this—such a gorgeous book. Great job @retrogamebooks.com . I had completely forgotten what I’d written for this Zelda 2 blurb, hahah

Kamui Fujiwara recently explained that the box art for the SFC version of 46 Okunen Monogatari (EVO: The search for Eden) was never returned to him and that he has been unable to trace it. The same applies to the cover art he drew for a Zelda novel. x.com/kamuif/statu...

I likely would not be doing what I've been doing without Andrea's site & she may be the root of why the Himekawa manga made it around the world. KitsunePixie (original fan translator who talked to Himekawa about localization; which I believe started the fan push) I think learned about it there too!

Literally a Latina woman's site and Zelda discoveries is what I can thank for pushing me in the direction I've gone hard on for 25 years now.

My head-cannon since the 80's is that that Zelda is inspired as much by Central & South American vibes as its European vibe. You can probably thank Mysterious Cities of Gold ('82) for why I feel that way. This is the most condensed clip of me "joking" it's simply LoZ's precursor:

A note on my absence: I was hit by really severe acute insomnia. I've gone multiple 84ish hour periods with no sleep, lucky if I get 3hrs a night in-between. Seems like underlaying medical but I've a few conditions that make it hard to pin point. More specialists coming up but the process is slow

Side note: Don't bother going to the ER for insomnia in the US. They all tell you to for liability reasons but the doctors was like "ERs don't diagnose it and don't know what to do about it." Reddit said as much but I didn't feel like I had other options. I wish I hadn't gone. Just wore me out more

I asked for an MRI to see if I had a pituitary tumor pressing on my sleep switch & they were like "see no reason for that." This interview is beyond special because it's someone with a deep knowledge of the series, a life long game designer who understand game development, asking the questions. So you're getting one of the best pictures ever of how development actually functioned between Japan and the US for OoT

Our 1st original interview!: @willowstration.bsky.social and I got to chat with Jim Wornell. Jim was an Associate Producer for Ocarina of Time, and later, the graphic designer for many iconic logos and packages during the GameCube era. We discussed branding, art, crediting, logistics, and more!

If you guys need something delicious to feast on today: here are some of the finest tears on offering. (I'm kind of a collector of sorts: My take? Collecting should be for fun or preservation and children/adults shouldn't ever be priced out of stuff typically sold in stores)

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!!

Other people have already talked about the Ocarina of Time remake looking like stylized puppets, but I also remember Miyamoto saying it was like a "little garden" that you could store away and take out when you wanted to play in it. And yeah, that's the vibe. It's a tiny little world.

Last time I complained like the world was ending, about how a Zelda game looked, was Wind Waker & I was wrong & an idiot. I mean, I still love to joke around with friends about stuff but they're just getting all their ducks in a row to bring in a new audience. Be ready to welcome all the new fans!❤️

I suspected he had, but I can confirm that Ed Semrad also reviewed it for his column in the Milwaukee Journal August 1, 1987! He also followed it up the next week with some hints.

Is there anyone currently in Japan that would be willing to bid on a Yahoo Japan $28 auction for me and then just trust me to send you the money if you win? I use a proxy service and the seller keeps canceling the win when no one else bids ?probably? because they see its a proxy. But I can't be sure

I just created a gallery for Tri Force Heroes & added nearly 460 images! I did it bc I thought it would be an easy one- but I went a bit overboard since I'll never play the game so I included references for more stuff Huge thanks go to Zelda Chronicles, @zeldawiki.bsky.social & @zeldadungeon.net

Last chance to pre-order! The sections for Zelda 1 & 2 are absolutely massive. Over 100 pages total. It also curates a ton of the high-res scans I've made so beautifully and much of it is from super-rare publications. A big must-have for any #Zelda fan that wants to have the art in print form.

I've gone back and rerendered the preview images for all 43 of my Zelda 1 keshi scans, which were among the first scans I did. I've also converted them all from .obj format to .stl format for your convenience. I rescanned Digdogger as well! See 'em here: archive.org/details/@kes...

This is going to be so great! Look at it! Just like with Video Game Maps: SNES Vol. 2 I contributed a lot of scans for the #Zelda section (which is epic from what I've seen) and will have a few little words in this one as well- but I'm beyond excited to see everything else that's going to be in it!
