#BREAKING The right-wing Likud party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has emerged as the strongest force in Israel's parliamentary election, according to exit polls

To those voting next Tuesday: @republicanpartyusa.bsky.social nominated this man to be president of the USA. Think about that; let it sink in for 5-10 minutes. What kind of party does such a thing? Have they no criteria, judgement or grip on politics? Will Stephen Miller be GOP's next candidate?

Some of the front pages from Serbia the day after the Student's List had a decesive win! From what I can understand, it seems that Večernje Novosti, Srpski Telegraf and Alo!, are not very happy with the outcome. Disclaimer: I do not have any linguistic competence in Serbian and/or Cyrillic letters.

Front pages from Brazil today. The day after a, what must be acknowledged, surprise victory for democracy. Lula obtained 4.4 million more votes than Bolsonaro!! It is likely that votes from the younger generation were decisive. Using Trump's playbook, Bolsonaro has not conceded... #SaveDemocracy

Lula voters are celebrating the victory of democracy in Brasil!

Incredible, both Serbia and Brasil are victorious on the same night!!! It is unbelievable!!! #SavingDemocracy

Hans E. Offerdal@hofferdal.bsky.social

Fun fact: In Belgrade, Serbia, Lula won with 72.9% of the votes, against Bolsonaro's 27.08%. 🔗 altxt That will not be the result in the election in Brasil tonight. However, one still must hope that anti-democratic Bolsonaro will loose tonight. www1.folha.uol.com.br/poder/2019/0...

Can this be real about the result in Brasil??? Projection by @estadao.com.br

0.29% of the votes in Brasil are in! This time Lula is ahead from the beginning; it was not like that on 4 October.

Hans E. Offerdal@hofferdal.bsky.social

4 October, this was the initial picture in the presidential election in Brasil; Bolsonaro was ahead from the start. Due to the fact that polls will be open until 19hs local time, counting of votes was put on hold. However, the first result (before the counting stopped) tonight has Lula ahead. 🔗altxt

The long-serving strongman leader of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has conceded defeat in an election that pitted him and his right-wing party against a diverse student-led opposition movement that spent two years protesting his government.

My understanding is that the US doesn't need diesel. It's other countries' needs that are driving up global prices. US refiners make billions of excess profits charging US customers global prices. In fact we are a major exporter of diesel. So WTF? And what did he give Putin in return?
