Just spent 2 hours on a piece of game juice that looked way better in my head. Damn, I felt smart doing all the math only to realize that it just doesn't work! And it was a thing that happens for, like, 0.1 second! I want my 2 hours back!

I'm very proud of this game! We put a lot of effort in visuals and it was a first game I had to code a level editor for (dev only for now, but I'd like to add it to the game in the future). Go play it if you're into this kind of games! It's free!

Our game "Hexxagon" is now live on CrazyGames! πŸ‘Ύ It's a strategy game where every move is a choice: clone your piece to spread fast, or jump two spaces to outsmart your opponent. You can play solo or with a friend! Play here: www.crazygames.com/game/hexxagon #gamedev #webgames #indiedev

Our first game "Tens!" has been globally released on Poki! πŸ₯³ It's a puzzle game where you select numbers that add up to 10 to clear as much space on the grid as possible. Play it here: poki.com/en/g/tens #gamedev #indiedev #webgames

Funny thing with game development is that sometimes you feel the solution you've built is bad. But it works, and you have more things to figure out, so you move on. Then it breaks, and you know it's time to build an FSM to replace it. And it'll be fine, as now you understand your limitations.

If you're scared of localization in #Godot because you heard that pluralization rules are cumbersome, fear not! It turns out, Godot has built-in rules, and you don't need to specify your own ones! I explained it here: hoodie-cat.dev/godot-plural...

Me: darn, our game is not interesting enough, most people don't play even for 1 minute. I need to do something with it. Also me: look at these sick scene transitions! Priorities? Never heard of them! #godot

After a lot of trial and error, it turns out THIS is how to scale a window and its contents by a fixed ratio in #Godot. It's these 3 lines of code. If you leave out any of these commands, you get the "wrong" images below. Do not ask how long it took to figure this out.πŸ˜… #gamedev #code #programming

Have you heard of Super Tic-Tac-Toe? It's a tic-tac-toe board where every cell is a tic-tac-toe board! Winning a small game makes a turn in the big one. And a couple more rules. I made a small prototype to play with my wife. I didn't expect this much tactical depth from a tic-tac-toe game.

How did you pick your username? I searched Wikipedia for names related to my real name. I wanted something simple, but ended up with the one that I liked the most. XD

How did you pick your username? No joke, I stole mine from my Dad. Neither of us are named Mike, we are Michael. 🐝

You are up to date.
