Impossible to overstate how unsurprising this is to me.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Amazing advances for democracy in Brazil and Serbia today!

With 83% of the vote counted nationwide, Lula has stretched his lead to 2.8 million votes. That's a lead of 51.4% to 48.6%. That puts him on track for a victory that could be larger than his 1.8% win four years ago, which would be an immense comeback. He's even up in Minas Gervais now, by 0.6%.

Cool as hell.

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

Another day that I walk around amazed by what Mayor Scott is doing in Baltimore. Thinking through the mechanics of how he’s cut the violent loss of life in his city by more than 2/3s can really bring a girl to tears. Grateful for his leadership.

My neighbors been going through it. Guns and drugs and…things. I have gotten to see the partners in care model up close for a few months. It’s bleak that there’s so few resources available but I’m really glad to see this model working and growing to at least avoid violence.

I love him so much

Anthony Edwards said a Heat bench player was chirping: "I think it kind of crunk me up. He was talking pretty crazy. When I start talking to him, he didn’t really have too much more to say. I don’t really like that. If you gonna talk shit, keep talking shit. Don’t get quiet."

WHAT

Bad road design has hit the WSJ. Impossible to build one of these in good conscience in 2026.

Increasingly, people are hit by cars on roads designed like Union Avenue in Memphis, Tenn.—one of the most dangerous roads in America. All while this type of roadway continues to spread across the country.

One of the more bleak articles I’ve read in awhile. The titans have only won 33 of their last 36!?!?!!?!??! It’s honestly an incredible boondoggle to get a free stadium while also doing the absolute least and having the results to show for it. www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...

espn.comTitans CEO apologizes to fans, supports Robert Saleh, GMTitans CEO Burke Nihill said the organization believes that coach Robert Saleh and GM Mike Borgonzi are "ultimately going to get this team out of the woods."

We need to keep tweaking the metro parks safety plan. I’ve seen horses and a number of 4x4s on the running trails. The horses leave 💩 and the quads are loud. Neither horses nor quads are allowed by normies. I want to know if I’m in the minority. Do these measures make you feel safe?

The thing about leadership is that people who want to instill a spirit of excellence and drive change will always find a way. And people who want to make excuses will always decide there’s someone else to blame for their lack of results.

Apropos of that, this ggwash.org/view/89882/w...

ggwash.orgWhile some on the left demonize developers, the housing shortage continuesFocusing on developers as the only problem with (or the only solution to) our housing market obscures other issues and makes it hard to make sure everyone can afford a place to live.

18/x almost always have to borrow a lot of money to build, despite people thinking they can just minds do whatever whenever), material costs can get high, compromises to mollify neighboring anger can cut profitability and extend timelines, which extends costs, you get it

I spent a year watching school administrators do their jobs—and interviewing the students most impacted. I spoke to @thecut.com in a long-form Q&A about what I saw. Mainly, a system designed to protect perpetrators and punish victims in each and every case.

Part of why I don't like the AI-or-bust economy is the constant flopsweat of people on the news who say this HAS to work. Quit making everyone so anxious. Goddamn. If this is the next Google then why are you acting like this? I don't remember being told to buy an iPhone at gunpoint.

Downtown and Midtown had explosive growth in residential and commercial occupancy over this same time period- driving economic activity faster than anywhere else in the county. And yet the entire tax increment gets attributed to tourism and trapped in the TDZ to lure "mega events" and other BS

Broadway generates a ton of tax revenue. Twenty years ago, before the "It City" boom, before tourists were buying $12 beers, lawmakers signed away that money with the "Tourism Development Zone." www.nashvillescene.com/news/pithint...
