To "revel in the death of those who truly deserve it...is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order," Anduril co-founder Palmer Luckey wrote on X.

When disabled people oppose Assisted Dying, it’s almost never from a religious point of view. It’s not because we’re anti-choice or that we want to force people to suffer. We oppose it because society devalues disabled lives and uses these programs in an unethical manner. They become eugenics. 🧵

no one who anyone listens to is saying that though. What we are saying is that the industry is a fucking shell game propped up by funny money and people should go to prison for the crimes being committed to keep the hype train going.

It’s not the win you think it is.

“The wand chooses the wizard.” 🪄 And in this case, it chose Oxford Street. Congratulations to Warner Bros on the UK’s largest Harry Potter shop. Another brilliant new destination for the West End, and proof that Oxford Street is well and truly on the up.

Richard Tice appears to have used more than half a million pounds he received from the mother of Nigel Farage’s long-term aide George Cottrell to convert loans he had made to Reform UK into donations. ft.trib.al/QCXQHlo

It‘s Thursday 3 1/2 days into the premiership. I will give Andy Burnham until four Thursdays from now, before I start complaining, I swear. 100 days is so pre-Social Media, but I refuse to judge without a minimum of data.

Oh noooo! My car insurance will come after me now. For sure.

Dr Oz on ACA "fraud" -- "Of the people who signed up, 40% never use the insurance. Let me ask you, John, you have health insurance -- do you use it once a year? In Obamacare right now 40% of the people ostensibly signed up never use the insurance ... we have a lot of fake people on the policies"

Almost as if reporting pertinent information isn‘t their day job.

It takes 1.28 seconds for a message to reach us from the Moon. It takes as little as 35 minutes from Jupiter. It takes as little as 4.5 hours from Pluto. It takes at least 6-12 months from NYT reporters, plus $35 for the book containing it.

Honestly! Two things: A) Labour wasn’t financially bankrupt when he started, nor morally. B) I will look forward to not hearing the weird cadence of his speeches. It’s as fake and plastic as he is.

He‘s making a good case for Starmer. As opposition leader. 🙄

Shane@shane11.bsky.social

There will be time to dissect the Starmer premiership. But for him as a Labour leader. - He took the party on at its lowest point - He survived a sabotage from Corbyn over anti semitism report and cleaned up the party m - He navigated Covid properly and if listened too would have saved lives 1/

Your PM you wanted could do a lot to make me less angry. Like, proscribing Reform and Yaxley Lennon’s outfit. Over a thousand protesters have been arrested for holding up signs against Genocide. The PM you wanted is not as nimble when it comes to rightwing thugs burning down houses.

LaindonFeminist@viviane49.bsky.social

I’ve waited for a Labour Gov for 14 years. While waiting I’ve watched Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak come, fail and go Now Burnham wants to take the PM I wanted, who is succeeding, away from me. In under 2 years. And some people wonder why I’m angry.

A picture in better lighting! I feel like you can see the texture better here. I also feel like this pattern should have been made in one color, because it showcases the stitches better. If my friends don't like this blanket, I'm absolutely keeping it for myself 🙂‍↕️ #crochet

#ShowMeYourKnits yellow. I don’t do yellow, I said. I can’t participate, I said. All the while this was sitting on my lap. 🧶 It’s going very slowly. It’s going to be huge. Oriental Grace Blanket by Marion Schlenzka.

To the King's Head theatre to see @rosieisaholt.bsky.social hilarious farce about one Chancellor's battle with Churchill's urinal. Raucously funny and like all the very best comedy tinged with a dose of human failure and regret. As Winston himself might have said "it's a banger lads."
