"And the biggest people in the world signed that, and I signed it as president." He speaks like a toddler. It's so embarrassing.

I found a Facebook group earlier full of boomers who knit and finish every post with FDT and they give me so much hope. 😍

To my Jewish friends and neighbors who will soon be observing Yom Kippur: May you be inscribed for a good year in the book of life. I'm looking forward to continuing to work together to build a better Michigan and a better world.

Jim Ratcliffe, tax-dodging Brexiter billionaire living in Monaco, says the poorest and most vulnerable should have their rights & benefits removed to bolster our economy. Don’t bother telling us this rancid man’s opinions unless you say how much he’s avoided in tax and what Brexit is costing us all.

Get yourselves to your local library!

Also, if you borrow an author's book from a library in the UK, that author gets more than 12 pence per loan in Public Lending Rights. Any author can earn up to £6,600 per year this way. That’s more than I’ve been paid by any publisher this year.

Why is this not the rule of thumb for planning on the UK?! @edmilibandmp.bsky.social

All the car parks to the supermarkets and hyper markets in this area are done. Plus quite a few much smaller parking areas. All new agricultural buildings have solar panel roofs as well.

Notice how a book can make you gay, a vaccine can make you autistic, a mask can make you sicker, and a poster of the Ten Commandments can make you moral, but guns don’t kill people.

Tactical voting just got harder. In England’s new five-party politics, it’s no longer simply Labour vs Conservative. Local dynamics matter more than ever, so check your ward, not just national polls, before voting on 7 May. Stephen McNair explains the how, what & why 👇

Labour MPs need to realise this isn’t about getting rid of Starmer it’s about destabilising the Labour govt and getting rid of all of you .. for Nigel and his mates ! The media have been on overdrive on this since July 24 .. it’s the latest attempt but not the last !

🚨🚨Symbolically important that EU countries and EU institutions shore up support for #spain in the context of fear of trade retaliation from the #Trump regime. This should be self-evident but unity of EU here is under pressure. 🧵 www.politico.eu/article/eu-s...

That's what I keep holding on to and I agree last night is further evidence. To get into power Reform has to split the vote among the other parties by enough that 29% of the vote is enough to win. We can't let that happen.

I haven't lived in Manchester for a very long time but I am so nervous about today's election I couldn't sleep last night. It feels big.

Nashville people sound nice... 😬

New: A comedian set up a fake ICE tip line as a joke. Then 100 calls flooded in: neighbors ratting on neighbors, a teacher reporting a kindergartener. Fans say the viral TikToks revealed deportation's "banality of evil." Conservatives say he should be in prison wapo.st/4kM4qbF

When you consider the fuss that UK officialdom made for Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe (a fuss that could and should have been much louder), yes absolutely the FCO has to answer for its abject failure here in what is actually a very similar case.

It's almost half-term break and to all the teachers out there I hope you get some time to relax and recharge your batteries because that half-term felt loooong!!

Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"? Well, it happens they were doing exactly that. www.cbsnews.com/news/google-...

Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.

The sympathy I felt for Americans caught up on this is waning fast. Why are you not out on strike en masses? That's what would be happening across Europe. Will it take the rest of the world dumping your bonds and ruining your economy for you to act? 1/2

I am aware of what is happening with ICE,and that is absolutely terrifying but can you not get it together in other ways? Strike. Stop buying shit you don't need. Don't go to sports events. Don't go anywhere. 2/2
