the nostalgia diner industry should have aged past the 50s. I should be able to go to an era-accurate 90s diner, served a room temp Fruitopia by staff in babydoll dresses, there should be a Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition machine against the wall. They could sell Desert Storm trading cards.

Splatoon Raiders is a system seller for our household. My wife and I bought a Switch 2 last night so we can play the whole campaign together once it's out. Raiders' multiplayer is seamless: individual loot, per-player level scaling, and shared progression. It does everything you'd want it to!

if i controlled the money over at Nintendo i would strongly consider swooping in and buying Rare back, as sort of a “putting the world back on the good timeline” deal. and then I’d immediately greenlight Star Fox Adventures 2

when i think of "formative" games in my life, there are very few that have shaped me as an adult but there is nothing, and likely will be nothing, like destiny ever again. i miss it and i'm desperately sad for the people at bungie who made one of my favorite things being tossed aside like this.
