extremely friendly reminder that every 2D Metroid game is currently available on the Switch, if you are interested in Ravenous and haven’t played the series i highly recommend you start with Zero Mission. it is a fantastic remake of the first game and sets up the story perfectly

Someone just told me “bruh you’re playing Balatro now? You’re like 2 years late where have you been”. Dude fuck the FOMO shit. Games are timeless. Leave the algorithm and just play the games you feel like when you want.

Age of Calamity not having a "S2 edition upgrade" for owners of S1 edition is disappointing, but the game runs fine enough that I don't feel the need to buy it again for S2. But If you haven't played it, you like musuo games and Zelda, and you have a s2: enjoy.

I wish more rpgs, where you make your insert character, would actually let you choose things when nocs promt you with options. This lady wants me to join her band of women thieves as they prey on wandering married men, and I'm supposed to say no???

I'm bored so here's a videogame rant. If your game has a tutorial, please I beg of you, just let me skip/disable it for future replays. Like, I get that tutorials are needed, but if I'm replaying a game for the tenth time, I really don't need to be taught how to open a door again.

Just a shower thought I don’t like the term “Friend Slop” But what if they were named similar to “MMO” Massive Multiplayer Online, but instead it was “SMO” Small Multiplayer Online I feel that is fitting for it Or even possibly even “FMO” Friends Multiplayer Online I think it works well for it

Seeing a lot of people making videos about feeling empty. I encourage you to look for something you can do for your community. Modern life has isolated us so much & so much sadness can be mended by doing a kindness for other people just because you can.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Being a part of recent fandoms has reinforced a lot of my dislike for theory culture. Theories on their own are fine - it’s natural and fun to have them! But when people get too attached to their preconceptions over the story actually being told, attitudes get SUPER toxic.

I kind of feel like... based on the remakes of Link's Awakening, Thousand Year Door (technically a remaster), and Star Fox; Ocarina of Time remake might just be... the exact same game in a new engine? Maybe with more story? It'll be interesting to see. The new designs so far do have me excited tho.

@breebunn.bsky.social Couple notes if you're interested in Xenoblade: MMO combat, can feel slow, seems complicated at first. Great story writing, gigantic worlds to explore, beautiful music, awesome cutscene choreography. Gripes: XC1 side quests blow. 2 is the cringiest, for v/a and char design.

Shift Up taking some inspiration from Alita/Gunnm I think with the new Stellar Blade. Could be a coincidence. Don't like how the mc's face looks like a child, but I do love when a deep voice lady punches stuff.

#gamedev when I made it so that a properly timed parry will interrupt all in front of you, and not just the attacker, it made things feel better (WIP obviously) not every enemy can be staggered from a single parry, but weak/basic ones can #metroidvania #solodev #animation

Gamers: "All games are the same, it's boring! Where is the innovation?" *devs experimenting with a long running series* Gamers: "THIS IS GARBAGE! I WANT THE SAME THING AS LAST TIME!"
