Our progress towards ES 3.0 was sped up with the support of Mecha Systems. They wanted a fully open source stack for their modular handheld Linux computer Mecha Comet. Working together, we made it!

At TPAC today, Igalia’s Nicolò Ribaudo will lead a breakout on AsyncContext, the TC39 proposal that carries values across async JavaScript. It’s useful for things like frontend telemetry. Spec authors, come tell us what you need from it. 📍 Second Floor, Room 05, 15:30 GMT www.w3.org/events/meeti...

First day of #TPAC is as overwhelming as expected. (This is my second go at this particular rodeo.) Web testing discussions, CSS/ARIA debates, on to Web DX and then the evening hackathon. And tomorrow night, after another full day, Brian and I will be doing a live @igalia Chats!

I just shipped CSS Custom Highlight Universal Selector! Coming in Chrome 158. With ::highlight(*), you can write a shared rule that applies to every custom highlight instead of repeating the same styles for each name. See the Blog post: blog.seokho.dev/development/...

We’ve had a great first day and many great conversations at Open Source Summit Europe! Make sure to stop by our table (2nd floor, booth 4) at any point during the conference to say hi and talk about OSS, our projects and work, or anything else. #OSSEU #OpenSourceSummitEU #OpenSource

This last day of the Linux Plumbers Conference will have a lot of interesting things going on, but our activities will be focusing on the "sched_ext: The BPF extensible scheduler class" microconference.

During the morning Changwoo Min will present "Taming latency spikes caused by lock holder and lock waiter preemption", and in the afternoon, Gavin Guo will deliver his talk "Stickiness: Keeping tasks cache-warm in work-conserving LAVD scheduler" in the same microcoference.

We’re now half way through this year’s Linux Plumbers Conference in Prague, and it’s been a great time, with yesterday’s talks going well. If you’re around tomorrow, make sure to say hi before the conference is over! #LinuxPlumbers #LPC #LPC2026

Just started digging into @wpewebkit.org over the past week. I've got a quick prototype of Linux booting and running Cog to display my own web view. Also excited about the @igalia.com and Wind River embedded web runtime. Is there code or a preview available for this?

The countdown is over! Open Source Summit starts tomorrow and we're all set at booth 4 with demos of Zephyr, the Linux Kernel, WPE WebKit and more. Feel free DM us to schedule a meeting, or just drop by for a quick chat. Looking forward to connecting! #OSSummit #EmbeddedLinux #Zephyr #Linux #WPE

Day 1 of the Linux Plumbers Conference in Prague looks like it's going to be a great day! Things will start with John Harrison delivering his "Unified collection of kernel bug reports" talk in the Linux System Monitoring and Observability microconference (lpc.events/event/20/ses...).

On the second day of the GStreamer Conference 2026, October 11th, we will deliver these talks. #GstConf2026 #GStreamer

This is a lovely post. I'm quite often asked if people from different browsers argue with each other in CSS meetings. I usually say it's a lot more "huh... yeah that's not good ... how do we fix it?" That's especially true when it comes to the sort of situations described here.

This is the best explanation of the interplay of specs, tests, and implementations that I've read. The point of both specs and tests is interoperable implementations, but that doesn't mean that implementations are always right when they agree.

Next week at XDC 2026 in Toronto, our colleagues will be presenting nine talks covering the latest in #OpenSource graphics, from graphics drivers and Vulkan to the technologies shaping the open graphics ecosystem. We’re looking forward to sharing ideas! 🎉 Details: igalia.com/2026/09/22/I... #XDC2026
